It’s Tea Time

One of my favorite times of the day is tea time. I have tea every afternoon Jayson and Eben. It is the perfect time to relax together after a long day of work and school. It is also a great time to reconnect. We sit in our chairs on the patio and chat about the current day’s activities and enjoy a lovely cup of tea. We mix our own loose-leaf blends so each cup is unique. Some of our favorites are green and blueberry tea or green and peach tea. We purchase all of our tea at Whole Foods in bulk and bring our own container to transport it in.

Do you drink tea? What is your favorite flavor?

I used to hate tea. Then, a friend introduced me to chai tea latte and I was hooked. A little sweetened vanilla almond milk and a chai tea of your choice (I love Yogi and Celestial Seasonings brand), and you are warmed from head to toe. I like any spicy sweet tea now just about. A couple of favorites are Mayan Cocoa Spice and Vanilla Hazelnut by Yogi. I also love Tahitian Coconut Chai by Celestial Seasonings.

I have always loved tea. Being raised in WV, sweet iced tea was always present at the dinner table. My favorite all-time tea is Earl Gray. Lavender teas are also good. Bigelow is my favorite brand.

    Hi one4earth,
I absolutely agree. I had chai tea a few months ago with a friend and I was blown away. It is really yummy and does warm you right up. I will try the ones you recommend.

    Hi nynekats,
I lived in Georgia for 1 1/2 years and I know all about sweet tea. It is everywhere and delicious.

We drink tea here all day long. My husband inhales iced tea that I make here for him. The kids love a good cup of herbal tea and honey. Does anybody else get weird looks from others when you give your kids tea? Or is it just me?

    Hi Jessica,
My son loves tea. I do think sometimes people look at us strangely, but we love tea and love the benefits of drinking it.

I hope you like them! I also like the chai tea concentrates that you just cut with milk/soy milk/almond milk/etc. Tazo and Oregon Chai are both good, and they are good cold over ice too or blended into a smoothie with ice.

OOOOO I love an afternoon tea. SOmetimes I go for the green ginger Tazo, but love the old standby Earl Grey. Enjoy the time together – sounds lovely.

I like the concentrates as well, especially with soy milk. Yum.
