How to Make Reusable, Eco-Friendly Halloween Window Silhouettes

One of the reasons that children find Halloween so exciting is because there is something usual and unexpected behind every corner. Once the trick-or-treaters have strolled past your homemade, recycled yard cemetery and meandered up your coffee bag Jack o’ Lantern lined sidewalk, greet them with super-spooky window silhouettes that you made yourself. Our 30-minute project is made using nothing more than a roll of recycled paper and eco-friendly paint. Another plus: these window silhouettes are reusable. Simply remove them after Halloween, roll them up and store them until next year. Check out how to make these spooky Halloween silhouettes with your little ones just in time for Halloween night.

How to Make Homemade Halloween Face Paint

If your kid’s Halloween costume calls for a painted face this year, take caution when considering the stock at your local Halloween store that’s likely loaded with toxic ingredients. Instead make your own Halloween face paint, using two simple ingredients that will neither harm the planet or your precious little goblin. What’s more, you probably have both of these ingredients in your cosmetic bag already. You can learn to make a fun selection of face paints for fright night. Eben and I had so much fun working with different color combinations.

Healthy Halloween Treat: CLIF Kid Full Moon Brownie Zbar

Before we left for our Fall Family Trip, Eben and I taste tested the newest healthy snack from CLIF Kid – The Full Moon Brownie Zbar. Eben’s reaction: Can I eat them all right now? Ha.

The new Full Moon Brownie Zbars are super yummy, healthy and an organic treat that you will feel good giving to your kids this Halloween. The Zbars are USDA certified organic, include 8 grams of whole grains and 12 minerals and vitamins. The best part, they taste good too – just like a chocolate chip brownie should.

While on our Fall Family Trip, I would pack a Full Moon Brownie Zbar in Eben’s coat pocket each morning before we went hiking – most days he had eaten it well before we even hit the trailhead!

CLIF Kids Full Moon Brownie Zbars would be perfect for handing out to trick or treaters, treats for your child’s classroom party or your own Halloween spookfest. Grab them while you can, they will only be available for a limited time.

What other healthy goodies do you give your children on Halloween?
