Win! Recycled Glass Spoon Rest: Earth Friendly Etsy Shop: BPR Designs: Giveaway!

This week’s Earth friendly Etsy shop is BPR Designs (Kiln Formed Glass). BPR Designs is owned and operated by Beth who lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband of 31 years. BPR Designs is full of cheese plates that are made from recycled bottles. Wouldn’t these make a fun hostess gift? A Mother’s Day gift? Isn’t the blue gin bottle fantastic?

Where does Beth find her inspiration? She loves nature and finds inspiration in the colors of her garden, the beach and mountains. Beth is a master composter, which makes her garden very happy and also uses recycled materials in all of her packaging.

When Beth isn’t fusing glass, you will find her sipping a fantastic Northwestern wine, taking a Pilate’s class or traveling to China with her husband. How fantastic is that?

Beth at BPR Designs is giving a fun spoon rest to one of my lovely readers, just leave a comment to enter to win!

The Goodbyn Lunchbox: Good For Kids, Parents and the Planet

Eben was super excited to come home from school yesterday to have a package from Goodbyn waiting for him. Why do you ask, would Eben be so excited to receive a lunchbox? Have you seen the Goodbyn Lunchboxes? Case closed. He was excited to decorate it! He took those 3 huge rolls of stickers and went to work for about an hour customizing it to his specifics tastes. When he finished his masterpiece, he advised me that the bottom middle section is specifically for Earth friendly stickers. (He even mentioned that the diamond was mined in an Eco friendly manner!)

I love the Goodbyn because it is Eco friendly, food grade quality, dishwasher safe, recyclable and easy to pack, it holds a lot of food and is fun to use. I love that it is designed by your child, it is their creative energy that decides how and where to use the stickers. I love individuality and this lunchbox stands out in a crowd.

How about you, what do you think of the Goodbyn lunchbox?
Do you think this is a lunchbox your child would enjoy.

Do You Need to Smile Today? Watch: Babies

Being a Mother is one of the loveliest things in the world. Don’t you agree? From the time, I found out that I was pregnant with Eben, until present day, he occupies my thoughts constantly. I love to have a special bond with this small person, a bond that only a mother can have. Fantastic!

Guess what comes out in the theatres on Mother’s Day? Babies: The Movie. Follow four babies around the world – from birth to first steps. Watch the trailer and you like me, you will be teary eyed. Lovely.

Vintage Fun for Kids: Vintage Pedal Cars

I love, love, love vintage cars. Do you remember this about me? My Dad is a HUGE vintage car lover and has a shop at his home that is full of vintage cars and their parts, around 30 in total. His love for ‘old cars’ definitely rubbed off on me. I also love fantastic kids design that is full of color and gets the imagination rolling. So when the two meet in the fashion of Vintage Pedal Cars from the 1950’s, I start to think to myself, ‘If I start to collect these, where will I put them?’ Aren’t they fantastic? The colors, the shapes. Now, how to tell Mr. Sweet Greens I want to start collecting something this size?

Are you a vintage car lover?
What is your favorite vintage car?

Did you know that you can give your home a good clean without toxic chemicals? Better yet, you can make your own green cleaners that clean just as well as their pricey, chemical laden counterparts and at a fraction of the price.
