A Space of Your Own with the Modern Shed

I feel very lucky to have my very own studio space in our house. I love it, it is my special little place that I can go to work. It is quiet during the day and lovely with three large windows that overlook my front porch and yard. The walls are covered with large pictures of myself and my family doing the things that I love. It is a lovely little space of my own and every time I enter this space, I smile. If I didn’t have this space, I wouldn’t know where to put all of my supplies and ideas.

Do you have a lovely little space of your own? I would love to see it. If you don’t, you may want to consider a modern shed. Aren’t they sweet? Modern Shed has some fabulous Eco friendly options such as denim wall insulation, green roofs and cork floor tiles. Hmmm, maybe, I need a lovely little snuggling space of my own. This one would be lovely.

I would love to hear about your space little space.

Snapware Glasslock Green Food Storage

The mister and I finally went through all of our food storage containers and unfortunately found that a lot of them contained BPA. We just couldn’t have this, so out they went. Then on our last shopping trip to Costco, we purchased two large sets of Snapware Glasslock and we are both in love. First of all, the containers are glass. Yay! Second the locking lids are BPA free and snap securely closed. I love the glass containers, they are fabulous and are so much nicer than any plastic ware that we previously had. I can see this set lasting us for a long, long time.

What type of food storage containers do you have?

Thanksgiving Planning by Sending Eco-Friendly Invitations

I finished making and mailed my Thanksgiving Dinner invitations today. I am huge fan of handmade invitations. Call me old fashioned, but I love to send and receive a handmade invitation or card. Whenever I am planning a special occasion, the first thing that I do is create a lovely invitation to go with the special event. I think it sets the stage for what is to come. I always make my own invitations, so I have complete control over what type of Earth friendly products that I use. However, if you don’t have the time to create your own invitations or don’t feel like being crafty, you can still send fabulous Earth friendly invitations.

I adore these simple ones from Tiny Prints. You?

I Really Want to Make a Fairy House

You know about Eben’s love of Koi, right? While we were there, I had to check out the fairy garden and house that resides there. I really, really want one. I keep telling Jayson that we should build one to put on our large coffee table. I think it would be delightful to sip my tea and admire the fairy house. Wouldn’t it be enchanting to weed the tiny garden? Being the only girl in our household, I think I am the only one smitten with the idea.

Last Sunday we decided to take a visit to our fave local nursery. We wanted to add some new plants to our home. I also knew that the nursery would have all of their holiday decor out and I wanted to take a peek. I was right, they had all kinds of trees decorated with the most beautiful ornaments. I had to pick up a beautiful hummingbird one that I saw Eben adoring. {A little stocking stuffer…shhhh} They have a large indoor turtle and Koi Pond with the giant pitcher plants hanging from above.

Have you made a fairy house?
