Have you been looking for an environmentally friendly lunchbox for school, work or on-the-go that is also stylish and functional? If so, have you considered a bento box? I love the way each food item has it’s own area, keeping dry foods dry and dips and sauces under control.
How do you save the Earth at lunch time? Do you have a particular style of reusable lunch box that you adore. Please share below – your tips help us all!
When was the last time that you simplified your life by getting rid of all of the clutter that surrounds you? The more things that we consume the more consumed we become with these things. It is easy for clutter to take over in today’s fast paced world where a new cell phone comes out every few months and we are tempted to buy around every corner. Buying something new that you already have a perfectly good one of – is it really necessary?
Look around your home and office, consider donating or selling items that you haven’t used in the past year, or bookLupo Enterprises to remove any junk that is no longer useful to anyone, chances are you won’t use them again. Clutter leads to disorganization and they both can add to your stress level. Simplifying your life, leaves you in control – just think how much easier your home will be to clean, how quickly you will be able to find something, how much more relaxed you will become in your own space. This month, I will be sharing simple organizing tips to get you on your way to a completely uncluttered life and a fuller, happier 2014!
YOUR TURN: What areas of organization do you find most challenging?
Target has partnered with the Target Inner Circle gang to put together a Holiday 101 blog series. As a team we are sharing everything you need to plan the perfect holiday party! All of the blog posts will be compiled and shared on A Bullseye View in the coming weeks.
Since I am always looking for the best in eco-friendly, sustainable, affordable and organic products from Target, I thought I would share with you my top hostess gifts ideas, let’s get started:
1. Wine. Wine. Wine. My local Target offers a nice selection of organic wines, which seems to be my go to holiday hostess gift. I tend to stock up when I find a favorite on sale – giving me a nice selection to choose from when a holiday party pops up. I always pick up a handful of cute wine cozies and tags to complete the gift too! So far, it has been a huge hit!
2. A Good Green Clean Another hostess gift that is always well received is a cute caddy full of my favorite green cleaners ( I really like Mrs. Meyers Clean Day), reusable microfiber washcloths and sponges. I choose a caddy that has a handle, which makes it perfect for storing the cleaners in, but also makes cleaning day a breeze – just grab it and you are ready to go.
3. Something for the Entire Family If the hostess has a family, I will choose a gift that her entire family can enjoy. Usually, that means a reusable basket full of organic snacks that the family can enjoy together throughout the holidays. I always pick up a few snacks from the Simply Balanced collection and sometimes I add a couple of card games or a small board game to the basket as well.
4. Simple Smells for the Home If you are looking for a simple gift that everyone on your hostess gift list will enjoy, look no further than a pairing of Method Hollyberry + Peppermint Vanilla hand wash and lotion. They are the perfect holiday addition to anyone’s kitchen or bathroom this holiday season and the Orly Kiely design just makes it that much better!

I have a really good giveaway for you again this morning. It’s sponsored by Design with Benefits, they are offering up a generous $50 gift certificate!
Of course if you win, you can choose to pick out anything from the wonderful collection of pieces offered by Design with Benefits. However, if it were me I would pick up some the following:
1. Wood Tie $39.99 I love these wood ties made from the best reclaimed Redwood, sourced from old barns and bridges all over Northern California. The ties are super light weight, allowing you to wear one all day and all night. The segments are held together by an elastic cord, giving you ultimate flexibility and comfort. Cords can be adjusted to suit your collar size. So fun!
3. Wood Six Pack $41.99 The Mister is a huge fan of craft beers – I think it would be so fun to surprise him with a wood six pack full of some of his favorites! It’s made from reclaimed Redwood from the Bay Area. This would also make a great gift to tote some of your favorite beers to that upcoming holiday party!
4. Tall Enough $14.99 Tall Enough is a folk tale of a South African boy, Tshepo, who wishes to be tall like the trees. After planting his feet in the ground, and watering himself, he finally gets his wish and turns into a tall tree. Soon Tshepo realizes that being a tree is no fun, and with the help of a bird learns one of life’s most crucial lessons, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. And the illustrations are amazing!
5. BirdProject Soap $24 Looking for the perfect gift for that someone who has everything – look no further than BirdProject Soap. This adorable, all natural, vegan black soap is Fair Trade. The best part – there is a smaller white ceramic bird hiding inside! It’s meant to remind you of the lasting effecting of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill and half of all sale proceeds go to the Gulf Restoration Network and International Bird Rescue for the environmental cleanup and care of animals affected.
In 1994, a portion of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unitarian Meeting House in Madison, Wisconsin was being re-roofed, and the copper sheets trucked off for scrap. That was when designer Scott Lesh decided to purchase large quantities of the material to create sculptural works, as well as a line of limited edition jewelry. Each piece is made from portions of the historic roof, sterling silver, and freshwater pearls.
Design with Benefits offers a curated collection of products with social and environmental benefits in mind. A percentage of all of their net profits goes toward creative projects using design to solve social problems.

Today’s next giveaway is amazing – FLOR is generously offering a 5×7 eco-friendly area rug of your choice right in time for the holidays. Hooray!
I am obsessed with FLOR carpet squares because they are versatile, eco-friendly and super simple to install. And if by chance one gets a stubborn stain or your Pug or Frenchie decides to chew on it – you can replace the single square, and you are left with a new rug!
We have worked with FLOR before and used our carpet squares to make smaller rugs that we use in our kitchen and bathrooms. One of my favorite parts are they don’t slip and slide around when placed on tile or hardwood and they are super sturdy, easy to maintain and always look good!
We recently partnered with Flor to update our family room – we choose the Vintage Vibe-Cream carpet tiles to give our family room a sophisticated update. The Vintage Vibe tiles have a traditional Moroccan Beni Ouarain – diamond shaped “star-burst” design with subtle irregularities that honor the characteristics of ancient weaving techniques. We are super happy with the results and love that the size is totally customizable since our family room is longer than it is wide! (Watch for this makeover post in the New Year)
If you are looking for a great way to update a room, add a little coziness or a pop of color – check out FLOR carpet squares. You will be super happy with the finished look and feel – and it’s sustainable too!
Visit FLOR and enter the giveaway below – winner will be announced on December 11th.
