I Want To Live In A Treehouse

We are planning to purchase property in the mountains of North Carolina, in the near future. Mr. Sweet Greens has been brainstorming the perfect getaway – we plan to build it ourselves. Do you think that we could build a tree house? Pete Nelson from the TreeHouse Workshop seems to think we can. I have to admit, I find this prospect quite intriguing. I love the idea of the stairs that can be pulled up, so no one can get to you!

Would you live in a tree house?
Do you find it romantic? adventurous? or scary?

Earth Friendly Etsy: Andrew’s Reclaimed

Andrew’s Reclaimed is owned and operated by Andrew and Melissa, a lovely husband and wife team. Andrew’s Reclaimed has a large assortment of Eco-friendly goods that are perfect for your home and garden. All of Andrew’s bee boxes, bat houses, bird feeders, butterfly houses, planter boxes and arbors are handcrafted using reclaimed wood from dismantled piers, fences, barns and other structures, slated for demolition and saving them from the landfill. Andrew never uses a live tree for his craft.

Andrew’s Reclaimed is located in Seattle with an excellent view of the Olympic Mountains. Andrew’s favorite part of his art is the discovery of the beautiful, high quality lumber that lies behind the weathered finishes. Every piece is unique, as all have been crafted from woods full of different clues to its history, in decades-old fastener holes, tool marks, embedded mineral stains, and other minor inclusions. Although he saws and planes most stock to uniform thicknesses, he likes these imperfections to remain as evidence of its antiquity. (This is a feature that I absolutely love.) When you purchase an item from Andrew’s Reclaimed, you are actively contributing to the conservation of some of the most beautiful and beneficial resources, while finding the perfect addition to your garden.

Andrew has been so lovely to offer ONE of my wonderful readers a Mason Mansion. (This is my personal favorite item and one that I will be purchasing in the near future.) This garden accessory, once populated with bees, is sure to bring more fruit and vegetables to your garden or orchard, and do so in an Eco-friendly way. To learn more about The Mason Mansion, Installation or Mason Bee Activity 101, please visit Andrew’s Reclaimed.

Earth Friendly Etsy: Pale Pink Recycled Inner Tube Journal

I love to journal my thoughts and ideas, you already know all about my journaling obsession, right? I have talked about here. I especially love to journal what I call Ebenisms because the things that Eben comes up with are priceless and I want to make sure that I will always remember them. I love to curl up on the sofa with a cup of tea and delve into the wise words of Eben, nothing makes me happier. Another thing that I love about journaling is the journal itself. I have all of my journals on my bookshelf and I love the diversity of colors and shapes and that all have been purchased somewhere special from many different locations that I have lived and experienced. The memory of where I purchased the journal is part of the fun and I make sure to write where and when I was when I bought the journal inside the cover. {just for fun} I also love journals that are made in an Earth friendly way or even better made from something old and used. This is why I love, love, love, this week’s Earth friendly Etsy shop, Pale Pink.

Pale Pink makes handmade recycled and upcycled bike inner tube notebooks and journals, bags, jewelry and accessories. Pale pink is owned by Larsen and located in Denmark. Larsen lives in an apartment in the middle of town with bicycle being the main mode of transpiration. Pale Pink’s Etsy shop is full of fab journals, wallets, decorative bobby pins and jewelry. My favorites are the journals {I would love to write in one} and the necklaces because they are so unique.
Larsen @ Pale Pink has been so lovely to offer ONE of my wonderful readers a fab inner tube journal to keep all your inter most thoughts and dreams.
