Holiday Music

In the mornings while I am making Eben’s breakfast and in the afternoon while he is having a snack, we listen to music. Eben loves to come into the kitchen, pick an album off of the iPod and enjoy. Right now, Eben and I are smitten with the music of Vince Guaraldi Trio. Vine Guaraldi produced all of the music for The Charlie Brown Movies. Naturally, we are completely into ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ it is perfect for the winter weather and upcoming holidays. It is a nice way to start the day. It seems like if I turn the music on loud enough that Eben can hear it in the morning, he will come downstairs for breakfast all by himself. I love music that is strictly instrumental, it is a true way to appreciate the music for what it is, lovely. Eben’s favorite is ‘Linus and Lucy’ and ‘Skating.’

What holiday music do you listen to at your home?
What are your favorites?

XO.

I LOVE the Linus and Lucy music. It’s so innocent and happy. My other favorite Christmas album is Josh Groban’s Noel. His voice sounds like chocolate … mmmm.

    Peace,

We have the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas cd too, love it! My other favorite is Harry Connick Jr.’s When My Heart Finds Christmas. We actually started listening to Christmas music yesterday, love this time of year. 🙂

    Hi Tanya,
I will have to check out Harry Connick Jr. We started listening to the holiday music once Halloween was over. We love the holidays.

Aw, that’s adorable!! My mum grew up with Charlie Brown and Snoopy, so we know them and their music quite well 🙂
I don’t think I have any ‘favorite’ per say, but we do have a channel on our cable that we can just turn on and it’s Christmas music all the time!

I like offbeat holiday music that is not too religious…secular is best for me…and if it sounds like something from the good ole dark ages, all the better!
