How To Recycle Your Christmas Tree

If you bought a cut Christmas tree this year, you may be starting to think of disposing of it. It may seem like the easiest thing to do is just throw it out for the garbage service to pick up. However, there are recycling options available that are more beneficial to the Earth. Did you know that your holiday tree can be recycled into something useful? It’s true, your holiday tree can be recycled into mulch for your garden or local hiking trails and it can even be recycled into fish habitats. Great tip. In some places trees can just be put in yard waste bins (after some chopping).

Thanks SO much for posting this! I do not think many people think of upcycling/recycling their used holiday trees! Our city picks them up at the curb and turns them into mulch for the city’s own use, which I think is awesome!

    Hi Angie,
That is awesome. In our area you can drop your tree off at certain locations and they turn them into mulch. We used this same mulch last year in our flower bed.
    Xo,
    Sweet Greens.
