Amenity Kids: Organic Eco Friendly Afghan Throw Blankets

When we were little, my sister and I both had afghan throw blankets that our great grandmother had made for us. Mine was purple, pink and gray (similar to the one above) and my sisters was peach, green and beige (similar to the one below). I remember using them constantly throughout my childhood and although I do not remember my great grandmother that well, I still have a little love and reminder of her draped across a chair in our guest room.

This morning when I saw the new afghan throw blankets for children at Amenity Home, I was immediately swept back in time to memories of me and my sister snuggled up on the sofa on cold Saturday mornings. Great times, love you sis!

Do you have a special blanket from when you were a child?
If so, what kind of blanket and what made it so special?

Do you like what you have seen? If so, please share:

LOVE LOVE LOVE the purple one! My grandmother and aunt both have given me afghans and I actually dedicated a poem to my grandmother entitled “Afghan” when I was in college! There is nothing better than sleeping under a blanket of love!

    Hi Angie,
Me too! It is almost exactly like the one my great grandmother made for me. You are right, nothing better than a blanket of love.
