Montana White Water | Gallatin River Zipline Tour

When we arrived in Bozeman, Montana for our fall family trip, our friends (Shad + Cammie) surprised us with a Gallatin River Zipline Tour!

The tour consists of 3 sky bridges, 2 tree platforms and 3 zips. Zip #1 is the shortest line, which prepares you for what is ahead! Zip #2 sends you flying across the Gallatin River on the longest line which is almost 800 feet! Then, the final zip sends you across the river again for the finale.

This is what the mister had to say about the tour:

“It was very fun and in a beautiful location! The staff was very friendly and helpful – they teach you quickly how to zipline safely, while allowing you to be daring at the same time! I recommend doing all 5 ziplines – because once you start, you don’t want to stop!”

—- P.S. The photo of Shad and Cammie’s son River really sums up how much fun ziplining is! Agree?

Exciting News! Sweet Greens + Target Inner Circle

I have very exciting news to share with you today – Target has asked me to join the Target Inner Circle program! I am super honored and excited to be a part of this very influential program. My partnership with Target means that I will be sharing an insiders scoop on the ways that Target is committed to environmental sustainability, education, community safety, and healthy living.

Sweet Greens has always been about the simple, fun ways that families can go green together. And Target agrees that even a few small lifestyle changes can make a big difference for the environment. Target offers several programs and activities that make it easier for guests and team members to incorporate more sustainable choices into their lives. When we all work together, we can have a huge impact!

As a member of the Target Inner Circle, I will be in NYC on October 16th for Target’s 50th Anniversary Party. Hooray! Followed by a trip to Target headquarters in Minneapolis later this month to get a behind the scenes look at their sustainability efforts. I am very excited to share everything that I learn with you! I will also be sharing sneak peeks of the new eco-friendly items that Target will be offering (and that you can win!) as well as healthy, organic recipes that I will be making with organic ingredients from Target.

I can’t wait to share all of the fun with you! Stay tuned!

Our Anniversary: Lucky Number 13

Today is our 13th wedding anniversary. And it feels fantastic! Jayson and I have experienced many wonderful highlights throughout our marriage. We met in Utah. We moved to Florida. We moved to Georgia. We moved to Colorado. Then, we moved back to Florida again. We have spent countless hours hiking, biking, talking, traveling, paddleboarding, and sailing together. And most importantly, we had one beautiful child.

Being half of a wonderful marriage has to be one of the best things in life. Jayson is it for me – he has been my rock when times have been tough and he makes me laugh every single day. He is the best part of my life – hands down!

P.S. Eben took the photo while we were at Dave’s Sushi in Bozeman, Montana on our fall family trip!

The Story of Pines: Animated Short with a Green Message by Alison Sudol

Premiering today, October 2nd is an animated short film called The Story of Pines. It is co-written and narrated by Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy.

It’s a beautiful 16-minute short featuring a pine tree named Pine, who is the last living pine tree in a forest that use to be vast and healthy. She meets a bird, aptly named Bird who takes an amazing journey with her. This is a short film full of beautiful music and an amazing message. Your children will love it!

I have to admit my eyes filled with tears – you too?

Want to help Pine and Bird? You can be one of the first 10,000 people to text PINES to 71777 and the National Arbor Day Foundation will plant a tree. Easy peasy.

Have a Lovely Fall Weekend + A Few Green Things

Hello, Friends. How are you? This was a fantastic week! There are a lot of fun and exciting things happening at Sweet Greens – I have several new projects that I will be working on next month! I don’t want to give too many details away right now, however with October only a few days away, you won’t have to wait long. Let’s just say that it has to do with sustainability and there will be goodies for you guys too!

Right now, I am just finishing up work and realizing that I haven’t packed a thing for our trip to Montana tomorrow. Are you a last minute packer like me? I am not too concerned, we are very light packers and only take enough to fit in one tiny carry-on per person. I have decided while I am gone, I probably won’t be posting daily – I will just be too busy soaking up every second of my boys. However, we will be sharing instagrams along the way, if you would like a sneak-peek. Then, I will post our adventures when we get back on October 1st!

And while I start packing, here are a few green things that I thought you might enjoy:

– An origami kayak – the perfect holiday gift for the mister!
– 50 Vegan, Fair-Grade, and Gluten-Free Halloween treats – so you can stock up now!
– While in Montana, I have to try the huckleberries!
– Just another reason to love pigs – this one saves a baby goat from drowning.
– Has anyone made Kale chips? Thoughts?
– Stockholm’s Dog Day! Looks like fun!
– I think I found my newest cookbook!

I hope you have a perfect fall weekend!

xo,
Sweet Greens

P.S. Eben has a silly little fish called a Cory that likes to lay in the greenery in the fish tank — it’s makes us giggle!
