Bring Back the Hanky.

My Papa Jack never leaves the house without a hanky. Yes, a hanky. Do you remember hankies? Hankies are not only eco friendly but so sweet. A hanky can be thrown in your laundry and used again and again. The tissue paper industry uses virgin pulp to make tissues which is one of the worst contributors of global warming. I have a hanky stashed in my purse and we do not purchase tissues in our home. You can find some super cute vintage hankies on Etsy or check out this cute idea from Hank and Cheef and save many trees in the process.

Do you use tissues or a hanky?
Would you consider using a hanky? Why or why not?

xo.

i use hankies! i used to live with a friend who used them and lent me one when i was upset. i was charmed by the idea of blowing one’s nose on such a delicate piece of cotton with gorgeous tatted lace edging, and i was hooked. i only have one that’s pretty like that, but now i really prefer my hankies to looking for/buying kleenex all the time. and they come out fine in the gentle cycle, even!

    Hi JuliaA,
They are charming aren’t they and so much softer. I am glad I am not the only one who uses a hanky.
