I love the moisturizing body bars from Leap Organics. I haven’t tried these USDA certified organic and fair-trade bars yet. However they are produced using renewable energy, packaged with recycled material, FSC certified, vegan, bio-degradable and manufactured wind energy. Can it get much better than that? Yes it can! My favorite part so far – the packaging. I would buy it simply because the design is lovely – just saying.

Coyuchi: Organic Cotton Robe Review + Giveaway

I feel very strongly about Organic cotton. I have talked about the adverse environmental and health effects that conventionally grown cotton has. Growing conventional cotton is the most pesticide intensive farming process in the world. All the pesticides and fertilizers in the cotton fields translate to a 1/3 cup of chemicals (such as cancer causing agents) remaining in the clothing that you wear and the linens that you use (right next to your skin.)
Coyuchi is a fabulous Organic cotton linen company based in Northern California, with a partnering company in India. Coyuchi has a wonderful selection of green luxury products such as bedding, towels, a beautiful baby collection, sleepwear and totes in various price points. Coyuchi also supplies its products to green luxury hotels such as Post Inn Ranch, Han Maui Hotel and Hotel Triton.
Coyuchi founder and CEO Christine Nielson and her business partner, Rajat Jaipuria, the head of Coyuchi in India take sustainability, environmental and economical consciousness and social equality very seriously. Coyuchi only purchases their cotton from The Chetna Project in India’s southern coastal regions of Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
The Chetna Project is an organization devoted to growing fair trade, certified organic cotton, while developing communities. The Chetna Project makes farmers who cultivate cotton on a small scale partners in the business chain, empowering and improving their lives and currently has over 3,000 members.
Coyuchi’s first philanthropic endeavor focuses on helping peasant farmers acquire livestock that contribute to both the farm and the farmer’s family. This project, lovingly called The Cow Project brings in an additional source of income for the farmer’s and their families. You can donate directly to this project here.
Coyuchi sent me a beautiful turquoise Organic cotton hooded robe and I am in love with it. I have had other robes in the past, but never a robe that I don’t want to take off. It is soft and cozy and the color is fabulous. It has great angled pockets that my hands slide into and stay into easily. I love wearing an item that was not made using pesticides, was made by an environmentally conscious company and that I can feel rest assured that the farmers that cultivated the cotton were treated fairly.
Would you like to try a Coyuchi robe?
Coyuchi has been so lovely to offer ONE of my readers your choice of either an adult hooded robe or an adult waffle robe. You can also purchase any of Coyuchi fabulous items here and get 15% off with the coupon code sweet greens.

Earth Friendly Etsy: Sewn Natural Organic Kids Bag Giveaway
I love messenger bags, I love how they look and that you can just sling it over your neck and you are off. Messenger bags also hold a ton and are great for guys and gals. Eben has recently taken up my love of the messenger bag and chose one this year to use as his back pack. Once again his love for Indiana Jones has a lot to do with this choice. Nothing is cuter than a child with their own very grown up looking messenger bag, it looks as though they are on a mission. Now what would be cuter than a preschooler with their own messenger bag? Nothing, Right? As a preschooler you definitely need your own bag to carry all of your foraging finds and collections in. Right? Absolutely.

What Speesees Are You? Organic Children’s Clothing Giveaway
Speesees is a super cute and fun organic cotton baby and kids clothing line, founded by Rachel Pearson in San Francisco. Rachel grew up in an Earth friendly home where her family recycled, didn’t have a microwave and she ate wholegrain sandwiches, while all the other kids enjoyed their Wonder Bread. (I feel for you Rachel, I grew up in a home full of wholegrain bread and carrot juice EVERY night with dinner.)
Speesees tag line is “United we Speesees through fog + fair weather, on this planet, our globe we’re in this together”. Speesees creates the coolest baby and kids clothing, accessories, bed and bath items as well as fun grown up bags, tees and hankies. Speesees cotton is 100% skal-certified organic, which means no pesticides or chemical fertilizers have been used in it’s cultivation. All of Speesees products are PVC free, chemical free, have nickel free snaps, no formaldehyde, no dioxin, use low impact dyes, are made fair trade and with lots of love.
Eben and I received the Speesees friend and tote. Eben absolutely loves his Speesees friend
he received Cocoa and promptly renamed him Molee. The friends are made of 100% organic Sherpa cotton and stuffed with lavender and lentils. Molee is not only buttery soft but smells fantastic. The mister walked into Eben’s room yesterday and said wow, it smells great in here, Molee must be in here somewhere. Eben has toted him around everywhere since we received him and won’t go to bed without him. I received the super cute and fun pine cone tote, it is the perfect size for marketing and has a great pine cone design on the front.
One of the best things about Speesees is their ReSpeeses program. When your baby outgrows their Speesees clothing, simply return the clothing to Speesees and they will donate it to a local women and children’s shelter and you get savings on your next order. To see the savings breakdown, click here.
Rachel has been so amazing to offer ONE of my lovely green parents a hum snap body gift set.
You will love this great line of organic baby and kids clothing and will probably find something for yourself as well.
