Sustainable Jewelry From The Pretty Peacock Giveaway

I love when jewelry is more than just a beautiful bauble that looks fabulous when I am wearing it. I find jewelry that is attached to a memory of a particular event or person to be even more fantastic. I have a nesting necklace that the mister and Eben bought me one year for Mother’s Day. It has two swirls of metals, one yellow gold and one white gold that fit perfectly together. The large white gold swirl symbolizes the mother and snuggling in to it is another swirl of yellow gold that symbolizes the child. This is a piece of jewelry that I cherish and every time I wear it reminds me of my beautiful son.

The Pretty Peacock is a jewelry design company created by Ana Talukder Simpson that focuses on this deep connection. Ana started designing the type of jewelry that she does because of her need to have special poems that her husband wrote to her while they were dating with her at all times. She wanted to immortalize his words onto something that she could carry with her, a tangible memory of that time in their lives, a little treasure that was deeply personal to her.

The Pretty Peacock’s Good Karma Collection is fun and personalized jewelry made from eco-friendly fine silver that has been reclaimmed from the tech industry. Since most precious metals require harmful mining to procure, reclaimed fine silver does not which saves the environment from several ailments such as surface scars, element depletion and by keeping toxic by-products that leach into our water and soil from doing so. The Good Karma Collection consists of several different types of jewelry, my favorite being The Dream Woven Sculpture pendant.

Have a Lovely Green Weekend + The 12 Days Of Etsy

Hello all my lovelies. Hasn’t it been a fabulous week? Did you get a chance to enter all 25 of my Green Holiday Giveaways? If not, don’t worry you have until December 11th to enter. What did you think of the sponsors and the giveaway prizes? What were your favorites?

This weekend is stocked full of fun stuff at The Sweet Greens Home. This afternoon I am having lunch with the fabulous Mr. Sweet Greens, followed by an evening of make your own pizzas with Eben and his best friend. Tomorrow afternoon, we are taking Eben to do his holiday shopping, see the holiday lights and for a stroll around our little old town. Sunday is going to start with a lovely hike and warm lunch in the mountains. We are going to our favorite sustainable mountain farm to hike and pick a holiday tree. {It turned out to be too snowy for a hike so we decided to purchase a potted tree this year that can be planted in our yard.} Sunday evening will be spent holiday decorating, listening to holiday music, sipping hot cocoa by the fire, present wrapping and since it is snowing, sleigh riding. We start to celebrate our holiday festivities on the 11th.
