Have a Lovely Green Weekend

Hello Lovely Readers,
How was your week? Mine has been wonderfully busy. I just launched my virtual assistant business website and I am really excited for it!

It has been snowing here in Colorado again, so our plans for the weekend include some early spring cleaning, rearranging and reorganizing. We are looking to declutter and simplify our home. There will be a lot of trips to goodwill and listing of items on eBay. Doesn’t life just seem sweeter when everything is clean and organized?

Here are a few things from Sweet Greens that you may have missed:

Making Crayons with your kids
– A vintage caravan overlooking the sea.
– My new fave lunchbox.
Plus, have you entered to Win:

– A kitty hat.
– A crate of organic fruit.

How about you lovely readers, what do you have planned for your weekend? Are you stuck inside due to the snow? What are you doing to keep cabin fever at bay?

xo,
Sweet Green

P.S. I would love to sent very lovely and happy birthday wishes to my little sister. Have a fantastic day.

My New Favorite Green Lunchbox from Goodbyn

Have you seen the new lunchboxes from Goodbyn. Aren’t they fantastic? I love the colors, the shape, the size, the design and the stickers. What a lovely idea to let children decorate their own lunchbox. Don’t you agree? I love that the drink bottle has it’s own spot inside the lunchbox. I also love how roomy they are, that they are BPA free and completely recyclable. Fantastic. Personally, I would use a Goodbyn lunchbox myself, I think they are adorable. Eben would love, love, love one too. How cute are the ears?

How about you lovely readers, would you or your child use a Goodbyn lunchbox?
What do you think of them?

Earth Friendly Etsy: Bodhicitta Recycled Stemless Wine Glass Tumblers Giveaway

Today’s Earth friendly Etsy Shop is Bodhicitta. Bodhicitta is a fantastic shop full of wonderful glassware made from recycled wine bottles. Fantastic, no? Zeke, a glass artist and the owner of Bodhicitta has been manipulating glass since high school. Zeke decided to use liquor bottles as his preferred medium because he loves, “the metaphor of redemption, the phoenix, the underdog comeback that can be found in reclaimed glass. This is the exact reason that I love Bodhicitta.

Zeke also choose liquor bottles because only 25% of glass bottles are recycled and he wanted to find a way to give bottles a new life. Also, Zeke has been able to quit his day job to focus on his art, you can read more about his transition on the Etsy blog.

Wouldn’t this glassware be fantastic in your kitchen? I love the different shades of colors and think this is a fabulous idea. Wouldn’t these make fabulous housewarming gifts? Does your love have a favorite beer, how about a set of recycled beer bottle glasses or soda bottle glasses for the kids?

Zeke also says, “It took some hard life lessons for me to learn that we are all interconnected. What you do today, right now, matters the most. You are creating and influencing the world around you at every moment so take a deep breathe, smile and shine light into your sphere of influence. It’s how we can all make the world a better place.” Lovely.

Zeke @ Bodhicitta has been so wonderful to offer ONE of my lovely readers a set of 4 stemless wine glasses. How great is that?

Earth Friendly Etsy: Glue and Glitter Recycled Cup Holder Giveaway

I love, love, love when vintage fabrics are given new a chance to shine again as something new and lovely. When I found this week’s Earth friendly Etsy shop: Glue and Glitter, I knew I would be smitten and I am. Glue and Glitter is owned by Becky Striepe, who is an independent crafter and freelance blogger living in Atlanta, Georgia. Becky’s passion is working with vintage fabric and salvaged materials. Becky uses existing materials in products that help us waste less without sacrificing style.

Becky is always looking for new ways to make big changes, she uses cloth napkins instead of paper and a reusable bag instead of a plastic one. She incorporates both of these ideas in her Lunch Kits. The lunch kit is one of my favorite items at Glue and Glitter. Her lunch kits include a handmade {machine washable} bag, 5 handmade {machine washable} napkins, 1 pair of eclectic utensils and one BPA free Lock and Lock lunchbox container. How fantastic is that?

Becky @ Glue and Glitter has been so lovely to give one of my readers a cup holder of your choice.
