Earth Friendly Etsy: Willow Creek Sparrow Black Crow Giveaway
December 12, 2009 71

We did it! We spent all day last Sunday decorating the inside and outside of our home for Halloween. We decided to get an early start on it, because Jayson’s lovely brother and nephew are coming this Friday to stay with us for a long weekend. Jayson’s brother’s son is the same age as Eben so we thought it would be fun to have everything decorated before they arrived. My favorite Halloween decorations are the ones that we made ourselves or picked up at vintage stores. Have you started your Halloween decorating? Need a little inspiration?

This week’s Earth friendly Etsy shop is Willow Creek Sparrow. Willow Creek Sparrow is a lovely little shop full vintage and handmade goodies. Willow Creek Sparrow is owned by Laurie and her two lovely daughters. All three of them love to shop their local flea markets, thrift stores, estate sales, trunk shows, antique and vintage boutiques and their shop is a collection of all of their wonderful finds. My favorite items at Willow Creek Sparrow are things for the holidays. I am in love with their upcycled pillows, bags and other decorations, with my absolutely favorite being the Love Potion #9 Witch.
Laurie & her daughters @ Willow Creek Sparrow have been so sweet to offer TWO of my readers a Love Potion #9 and lovely little crow. You heard right, we will have TWO winners this week. Yay! Love Potion #9 is a sweet little handmade & upcycled 19″ tall witch. She is perched upon a wooden base, complete with her flowing plaid skirt, love potion #9 necklace and her best friend the crow. The lovely little crow is handmade from an upcycled wool sweater. He has a lovely key and heart necklace, button eyes and is perched upon his wooden stand. He would look so lovely as the centerpiece in your dining room.

On the 4th Day of Etsy… Upcycled Heart Christmas Ornaments Giveaway
December 10, 2009 38

♫ my true love gave to me, a handful of upcycled heart felts, ♫ three lovely reclaimed wooden handcrafts, ♫ Two Calling Handmade Upcycled Bird Ornaments, ♫ and a stocking made from men’s recycled suits. ♫
Giveaway number four is a set of Upcycled Heart Felts {$16} from Sewn Natural. These would be perfect for your child to hang on the holiday tree or to give as a gift to someone who recently had a baby or has small children. You could even keep them for yourself and hang them on your own tree.
Sewn Natural is my favorite Etsy shop when it comes to organic baby and toddler items. Sewn Natural is a collection of Eco friendly baby and toddler blankets, quilts, toys, dresses, kids’ messenger and sleep bags, holiday items and much, much more. All of Sewn Naturals collection is made with all natural, organic and rescued upcycled fibers. The collection pairs sustainable Eco design with mod offbeat style. Fab, fab, fab. This lovely Mother and Daughter team creates the most wonderful children’s products that I have seen. Her use of simple modern lines and fabulous colors will make you and your little ones smile. Take a look around Sewn Natural and I believe that you will see something that you will fall in love with. Sewn Natural would be the perfect place to purchase a one of a kind baby shower gift or a lovely holiday gift for the little ones in your life.
Eben saw the organic stuffed dog while I was drooling, I mean browsing the sight and told me that he would call him Olive and would sleep with him every night. {I have to agree, I would snuggle with him too.}

I also think the gnome upcycled baby dolls are delightful.

Who wouldn’t cuddle up in an organic baby quilt?

Do you also remember that I love, love, love the children’s messenger bags? Lovely, no?
A very lovely thank you to Sewn Natural for hosting this fab giveaway.
