Pinkerton Design: Recycled Cards Giveaway

I love greeting cards, so much in fact, that I have a box full of greeting cards that I have purchased over the years that I am unable to part with. I am always captivated by cards with great design and colors. If a card jumps out at me and has personality, I have to have it.

Recently I found some simply adorable cards that I thought you might enjoy from Pinkerton Design. Penny Richards Eversole is the designer and owner of Pinkerton Designs. The designs on her card and tote collections are sweet and fun. Penny has always been creating things out of paper and this eventually lead to a career in graphic design. She designs out of her small studio in Seattle’s Phinney Ridge Neighborhood. Her work reflects her love of color, illustration, pattern, typography, printing and paper.

Penny has been super sweet to offer ONE of my lucky readers a set of Garden Cards.

(My favorite, Japanese Gardens of course, I have a thing for anything Japanese and I love Koi.)

On the 2nd Day of Etsy…. Upcycled Christmas Ornaments Giveaway

♫ Two Calling Handmade Upcycled Bird Ornaments, ♫ and a stocking made from men’s recycled suits. ♫

This lovely pair of birds is made using upcycled and vintage materials and stuffed with Eco friendly fill from the lovely Etsy shop BeBe and Alice. You can choose the color scheme of your birds if you win.

This giveaway is especially close to my heart because of Eben. Each year, Eben saves his allowance to buy a bird ornament for the tree. I think it is so cute to see the different birds that he has picked out, perching in our trees. We purchased our live potted trees and decorated them on Sunday. They turned out super cute, it was fun to see his face light up when he saw his bird ornament collection. {Pictures to come} Wouldn’t this be a lovely gift for someone near and dear to your heart? Eben would love, love, love a set of these sweet birds.

BeBe and Alice is owned by Heather in Estes Park, Colorado. I love, love, love Estes Park, it a mountain town about 1 hour from my home in the foothills. Heather inherited her “waste not, want not” attitude from her grandmothers, BeBe and Alice, also the namesakes of her shop. Each item that Heather creates is unique and one of a kind. BeBe and Alice includes unique bags, clothing, aprons, and accessories. She believes that recycling fabric is a beautiful way to both honor our past and take care of our future. How lovely is that?

A very merry thank you to BeBe and Alice for hosting this lovely giveaway.

Organic Chew Toys For Green Pets + Giveaway

Our pets explore the world around them with their mouths -they walk outside through pesticides and chemicals without the protection of shoes. Then, they clean themselves with their tongues and chew on toys that contain heavy metals, chemical dyes and plasticizers. Not good. What can you do?

For starters, your pet doesn’t need tons of different chew toys. Replace your pets chew toys with a couple toys made with organic and chemical free materials. The “Purrfect place to purchase pet toys is Purrfect Play. Purrfect Play has a great selection of fun and durable pet products that are organic and all natural. The toys are so durable and washable that you will only need a couple. This is great for the Earth and great for your wallet. Purrfect Play is owned and operated by Pam Wheelock. Pam designs all of her fabulous pet products out of her home in Indiana. All of her products are made out of organic, chemical free and fair trade materials. Purrfect Play is a member of Green America, Co-op America and Organic Trade Association.

My favorite and my Lilly’s (my bulldog) favorite is the organic cotton tug. I love that the tug is made from organic cotton that comes from a great U.S. company that sends it’s organic cotton t-shirt remnants to Purrect Play. Lilly loves that the tug is durable (she loves to rip toys apart) and she also loves to chew and play tug of war.

Pam is offering ONE of my lucky readers and your best friend the choice between a Tug Toy or Catnip Snake.

To Enter:

Please visit Purrfect Play and sign up for Pam’s newsletter, which is full of great ideas for your pet, then leave a comment below.

Contest will end on May 14th and the winner will be announced the next day.

Good Luck!
