Today, my Eben turns 11 years old! Eleven! We will be celebrating his birthday this weekend, at the beach – of course! We have invited all of our closest friends and family members for a day of sun, fun and celebrating Eben. It is going to be a very laid-back party, think: sand, palm trees, umbrellas, colorful towels, picnic foods and water games! Simple and sweet.
Tonight, after we pick Eben up from school – Grandpa Sweet Greens, Mr. Sweet Greens and I are taking Eben to one of his favorite spots for a small family celebration! I can’t wait! Every second that I get to spend with Eben is the best gift in the world to me. He makes being a mother so much more than I could have ever dreamed. Happy Birthday Eben, you are the frosting on my cupcake.
p.s. Did I mention that Eben is turning 11 – this means that he will be starting middle school next year. Middle school! How can I already be the mother of a middle schooler! Dear time – I order you to slow down NOW.
