Essential oils are natural compounds found in bark, seeds, flowers, stems, roots, and plants. Essential oils are anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumoral, and anti-fungal naturally. Amazing, right? They are also lipophilic which allows them to destroy viruses that antibiotics may not be able to. You can use essential oils to clean your home and heal your body. My favorite uses for essential oils are:

I LOVE using essential oils. I use them in cooking (when its appropriate) and I use them in bathing. The best stress-relieving bath I have come up with I found in a book I bought on aromatherapy and using oils to heal, “Water Magic: Healing Bath Recipes for the Body, Spirit, and Soul” by Mary Muryn. Its a great book and I would highly recommend it to everyone. I use marjoram, eucalyptus, lavender, rose, peppermint, etc. It just depends on the ailment and recipe.
I use ginger root with peppermint for motion sickness. Also eucalyptus is great for my sinuses. I love, love, love Rose Hydrosal for spritzing on my face. Fabulous. Thanks for this post.
