Green Tips:: Don’t Get Burned.

If you have a toaster oven or a small brick oven, use it whenever possible over your full size conventional oven. Toaster and brick ovens take less energy to run and are especially effective if you are only reheating a slice of last night’s pizza. {just remember to unplug it when not in use.}

Do you have a toaster or brick oven?
When type do you have?

    Good tip. How do microwaves compare for energy use?

    Hi Kirsten,
    It depends on your microwave oven. It can vary depending on how efficient and old it is. The best way to find out which appliances use the least amount of energy is to check their labels for average wattage and then multiply the wattage by how many hours or fractions of an hour you need to cook the food.
