HOW TO: Make Organic, Homemade Butternut Squash Ravioli

Sometimes finding new and creative ways to incorporate more vegetables into your child’s diet can be tricky. Especially when you’re trying to get your children to try different vegetables for the first time. We recently picked up a butternut squash from our local farm. Since it was the first time my son had tried butternut squash, I decided to try using it as a filling for handmade ravioli. Ravioli is fun to make with children because there are so many times throughout the process that children can help, including mixing the ingredients, rolling out the dough, filling and crimping the dough pockets and carefully dropping them in the water. Learn  how you can made a batch of organic, homemade butternut squash ravioli with your children.

Green Holiday Giveaway #25: Curator $150 Shopping Spree

This is the finale event for Sweet Greens’ Holiday Giveaway Week 2011. It is a fantastic giveaway that will make you drool! It sponsored by Curator. They are offering a $150 shopping spree – perfect for picking out something pretty for yourself this holiday season.

Curator is a line of clothing designed and produced locally in San Francisco. Curator has a long-standing relationship with each of their local vendors, and work closely to both produce quality garments and minimize waste. Whenever possible, Curator uses the finest organic fibers in their designs.

I love the use of solid colors in Curator’s collection, it is very classic and modern at the same time! I think many of these pieces would look fantastic dressed up for a holiday cocktail party or dressed down for a day at the park. The collection seems to be very versatile and wearable, which I love. And the high-quality, classic designs will make your Curator clothing your favorite for many, many years to come.

If I were the winner, I might choose the Darling Dress, Amandine Cardigan, Ukiah Pullover, or a Francie Blazer. All of which are 100% organic. What would you choose?
