Green Holiday Giveaway #18: Boutique Cascades Christmas Tree + Gift Wrap

Giveaway number eighteen is fantastic and right in time for the holidays! It’s sponsored by Boutique Cascades and they are offering a recycled Piccolo Christmas Tree and recycled gift wrap!

The Piccolo Christmas Tree is the perfect size to use as a centerpiece on your dining room table! You could place it on a table and stack gifts underneath for a more dramatic look! It would be a great Christmas tree for a child’s bedroom, small apartment or office. The possibilities are endless. Boutique Cascades’ Christmas Trees are beautifully designed out of 100% recycled FSC certified cardboard making them simple to assembly and easy to store after the holidays.

Boutique Cascades’ wrapping paper comes in beautiful holiday designs and is made using 100% recycled fibers, printed with water-based inks! I love the designs – the stripes, the deer, oh my! And these are the large rolls, not those dinky rolls of wrapping paper from the big-box store. Green Holiday Giveaway #17: J.R. Watkins Natural Lotions

Giveaway number seventeen will be perfect for the cold winter months ahead. It’s sponsored by J.R. Watkins and they are giving away a set of 6 of their full size hand + body lotions
J.R. Watkins has been my favorite for all-purpose home care products for a long time. We are huge fans of their all-purpose cleaners, dish soap, window cleaner and bathroom cleaners. Not only do we use them in our home, but we keep them stocked in our RV too. Why so much love? J.R. Watkins has been around for a long time, since 1868 to be exact – which means they know what they are doing when it comes to natural home and body care products. Plus, did I mention the way they smell? Fantastic, these products come in the best scents. And the products actually work really, really well!

The lucky winner will receive 6 full-size bottles of J.R. Watkins Hand & Body Lotion. Lucky! A bottle of Mango, Lavender, Coconut Milk + Honey, Lemon Cream, Grapefruit and Vanilla. These lotions are thick without being sticky and smell delicious. The lotions are paraben-free, phthalate-free, propylene glycol-free and dye free. And when it comes to packaging, [which I am a huge sucker for] J.R. Watkins takes the cake!

I am a huge fan of fruity smells so my favorite J.R. Watkins lotions are the Lemon Cream, Vanilla, Mango, Coconut Milk + Honey and the Grapefruit! Really, I couldn’t choose just one. We seriously have a bottle in every room of our house. Oh yeah, and one in the car and the R.V.

Jump over to J.R. Watkins and pick up some cleaners + product care products for winter.

Green Book Review: Curious Critters by David FitzSimmons

Tonight we are going to start our book advent calendar. The first book that will be opened is one of my favorites. It’s called Curious Critters, written and photographed by David FitzSimmons.

Curious Critters showcases amazing photographs of beautiful animals coupled with Mr. FitzSimmons own words describing what he thought each animal was thinking. Brilliant!

On the American Toad page it says: “It’s not true: I don’t give people warts when they touch me. And that fairy tale about a princess kissing a frog….Bah! It’s rubbish!” Cute, right?

The book also has a natural history section that gives more information on each animal, their habitat and diet! It is a fantastic book – the large colorful, up-close photographs will immediately grab the attention of children and adults alike. And, while your children are devouring it, they are learning at the same time! Bonus: the book is so beautiful, you will want to display it on your coffee table for everyone to enjoy!

If you are looking for a book to give this holiday season, grab a copy of Curious Critters, it is sure to be a huge hit! Plus, Mr. FitzSimmons will personally sign the copy with your own personal dedication!

Sweet Greens was not compensated for this post – we received copies of the book to review and I loved it so much that I wanted to share it with you. Coming up, a giveaway including Curious Critters!
