Happy Earth Day!

Hello Friends. Happy Earth Day! How are you celebrating! We did our beach clean-up yesterday afternoon, since Mr. Sweet Greens had to work today. We were amazed by the amounts of plastic that we found when cleaning up the beach — mostly in the form of cups, straws and water bottles! However, we also found several single shoes? And a large quantity of kite string, bottle caps and plastic bags. It felt good to have an active part in cleaning up our beach and a couple of people even decided to help out!

I want to thank all of you for participating in my Earth Day Giveaway Week. Also, a huge thank you to this year’s sponsors – Organic Valley, Zutano, Cascadian Farm, Tiny Prints and Spoonk Space.

* The winner of the $520 Organic Valley Food Giveaway is Crystal Miron!

** And the winner of my Green Goody Bag for Earth Day is Belynda Cleveland who said, “ My Daughter and I are going to plant a tree, pick up trash in the park and eat some local veggies!”

Remember, you still have time to enter these giveaways:

$100 Zutano Organic Children’s Clothing Shopping Spree
Cascadian Farm Cereal Gift Set
$50 Tiny Prints Gift Certificate
$79 Spoonk Space Eco-Friendly Acupressure Mat

To all my friends and family who celebrate Easter – I hope you enjoy a chocolate egg or two! And to all of my family and friends who celebrate Passover, I hope you enjoyed your family and a matzo-ball or two! If you don’t celebrate either — I hope you enjoy a super lovely spring day!

Have a great weekend and I will see you on Monday.
xo,
Sweet Greens
