With the sun shining outside, springtime is the perfect time for frozen treats. You can make all different kinds of frozen goodies using only ingredients you probably have on hand and fruits that are in season. I also like to buy fruits when they’re in season and freeze them to use when they aren’t. What better way to enjoy fruit on a warm spring day than by making them into a yummy frozen dessert. These Mango-Berry yogurt cups fit the bill perfectly and they are super fun to make with the little ones. Using empty yogurt cups as the molds, these pops are yummy enough for an after dinner treat and fun enough for a party. When given the chance, most kids will jump at the chance to get their hands on a camera and start taking pictures. And if you show them a few basics, and don’t restrict them to cameras made just for kids, you may inspire a new artistic hobby. Spring is a great time to get started. Your kids can take pictures of grass peaking out from patches of snow, sprouts popping up from the earth for the first time, blossoms in bloom, new baby animals, rain showers and more. Photography is a great way for children to document their travels, favorite pets, friends and activities that they have really enjoyed – giving them a permanent and personal record of these memories. The play kitchen is a wonderful, albeit big-ticket, toy for children to engage in pretend play — one of the most important types of play for children. So I found seven eco-friendly play kitchens that give kids a chance to be creative, use their imaginations, make meaningful connections, engage in role play and express themselves. Regardless of gender, children will spend countless hours fine tuning their motor skills while preparing, cooking, baking, serving and cleaning up in a pretend kitchen.
