Wearable Food

Hello Everyone. After yesterday’s Wearable Newspaper post, I came across this series called Wearable Food, created by artist Yeonju Sung. The series includes these pieces made from bubblegum, tomatoes, eggplant and cabbage. Stunning, no?

Do you think that these pieces could actually be wearable? Or would they just be fantastic art pieces? Have you seen any other clothing made from unusal materials?

Wearable Newspaper

Hello Everyone. There’s nothing like creative upcycling to give your week a little burst of inspiration. Artist Yuliya Kyrpo created a beautiful bustier dress with flowing peacock train – from 1,000 paper cranes – all of which were folded by hand from old Metro newspapers. Wow! This lovely gown is on display at London’s Science Museum.

Wouldn’t wearing this to your New Year’s Eve party make a statement?
You would definitely want to make sure that there wasn’t rain in the forecast.
Would you wear clothing made from upcycled materials?

This is a book that will remain on our family bookshelf to be shared for years and years to come. Thank you to Karen for sharing such a beautiful message with me!

A House Wrapped In A Greenhouse?

If you live in a colder climate, you may love the idea of living in a house wrapped in a greenhouse. This home in Sweden built by Swedish architect Bengt Warne, it allows the owners to cultivate their own fresh food – while cutting their electricity needs in half. How fantastic is that?
