Would You Rent a Dog?

I love, love, love my dogs. They are a very important part of our family. We call them our girls. I really can’t imagine our lives without them. I think that pets can have a wonderful impact on a family. Since, I work at home I am able to spend a lot of time with them and we try to take them with us whenever we travel. But, what do you do if you really, really want a dog but aren’t able to give a dog the full attention that it deserves? What if you have a job that requires that your travel alot or for other reasons are away from home from extended periods of time? What about individuals who live in communities that don’t allow pets?

Did you know that you can rent a dog? I know, right? Super neat.

FLEXPETZ is a service that provides people who are unable to have a dog with local access to a variety of dogs. All of these lovely dogs have been rescued or rehomed, which is my favorite part of the service. These dogs are very lovable and fully trained. You can choose from a wide variety of breeds and sizes. Can’t you just see yourself playing with Pirate for the afternoon or weekend?
How much fun is that?

Hm. That’s definitely interesting…I’m not sure If I would or not because if I did, I probably would become too attached and cry when I had to return them 🙁

    Hi The Eclectic Element,
I agree, I would want to take the dog home too. I do however think it is the perfect program for people who are unable to have a dog and it gives a dog a 2nd chance at life too, since these dogs are rescued.

I would do this for sure. I am betting too that you could save a lot of lives this way. I know my local no-kill shelter allows you to do this and so many of them end up adopted!
