Holiday Music

In the mornings while I am making Eben’s breakfast and in the afternoon while he is having a snack, we listen to music. Eben loves to come into the kitchen, pick an album off of the iPod and enjoy. Right now, Eben and I are smitten with the music of Vince Guaraldi Trio. Vine Guaraldi produced all of the music for The Charlie Brown Movies. Naturally, we are completely into ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas,’ it is perfect for the winter weather and upcoming holidays. It is a nice way to start the day. It seems like if I turn the music on loud enough that Eben can hear it in the morning, he will come downstairs for breakfast all by himself. I love music that is strictly instrumental, it is a true way to appreciate the music for what it is, lovely. Eben’s favorite is ‘Linus and Lucy’ and ‘Skating.’

Mary Jane’s Organic Farm and Bed and Breakfast

Lately I have been thinking that the mister and myself need a weekend away, alone together. We have plenty of date nights, but to get away for the entire weekend alone with no responsibilities, no agendas, just quiet time alone, sounds lovely to me. Where to go? Hmmm. How about Moscow, Idaho. Yes, I said Idaho. You have to see Mary Jane’s Farm and Bed and Breakfast, once you see if you will be start to think Idaho sounds lovely.

Mary Jane has a lovely organic farm with a series of wall tents with wooden floors, fabulous sheets, no electricity, an outdoor kitchen and a lovely clawed footed tub for a nice hot bath a la nature.
Wouldn’t it be lovely to lay with your lover in a hammock over looking the farm? How about taking a nice steaming bath together in the outdoor claw footed tub? Listening to the birds together? and enjoy the quiet sound of the farm together?
I would love to go for the weekend. Thoughts?

Are you getting excited for the upcoming holidays? I definitely am. I love everything about the holidays and thought these Eco friendly stocking that I found on Etsy are perfect.

I still have the stocking that my mother gave me my first Christmas. Whenever I see it, I smile and think back to those years. The stocking has always been my favorite holiday item. I think it is because you can only see the few small gifts popping out the top and you never know what you will find at the very bottom. Every year, I would save my stocking gifts to open very last. My mom would always fill our stockings with fun little things, my favorite was always the holiday lip balm. I have continued this tradition with Eben, with organic lip balm of course.
