The FruitGuys:: Organic Fruit Delivery {Giveaway!} CLOSED

We recently received a crate of organic fruit from The FruitGuys. Have you heard of them? The FruitGuys are known for bringing fresh seasonal fruit {brain food} from local farms to thousands of American businesses and homes across the country. Fantastic, no?

The FruitGuys work with local farmers to help them succeed and achieve green practices. During peak season 70-90% of the fruit mixes offered by The FruitGuys are locally grown within the regions they serve {East Coast, Midwest, West Coast} and go from the farm to home or office within 3-4 days.

My family recently received a large crate of fruit from the FruitGuys. Luckily, we are huge consumers of fruit, because there was a lot of it. {I used some for my surprise valentine’s brunch for Mr. Sweet Greens and Eben} Our crate carried juicy apples, pears, kiwis, oranges, tangerines, bananas and blueberries. All of the fruit came packaged in an Earth friendly crate made from recycled cardboard and soy based ink, which also protected the fruit perfectly.

I think the FruitGuys is a fantastic idea for someone who owns a small or large business that wants to provide their employees with a healthy brain snack each day. I have worked in many large business offices in my day, it would have been nice if fresh fruit was an option at our Monday morning meetings, instead of bagels or donuts. Don’t you agree?

Also, the FruitGuys have organic fruit crates that would be perfect for your family. You can purchase either a 16, 25 or 50 piece FruitCrate. How fantastic would it be to have one delivered to your door?

The FruitGuys have been so lovely to give ONE of my readers a 50 serving organic FruitCrate.

Have a Lovely Green Weekend + Happy Valentine’s Day

Hello Lovely Readers,

How was your week? Did you get your valentines done? If not, here are a lot of fun ideas that you could do before Sunday. Are you ready for the weekend? I know, I am. My weekend starts with Eben’s class Valentine’s Day party this afternoon. How fun is that? I love to see little kids dressed up in red, white and pink for love day. It is always so much fun to see them exchange and open valentines. Their delight is precious and genuine.

Sunday morning, Eben will wake up to find the first clue to his Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt on his bedroom door. This is always his favorite part of Valentine’s Day, searching for the clues. What comes next is a secret, but if you promise not to tell. I have a surprise Valentine’s Day brunch planned for Mr. Sweet Greens and Eben. I am going to decorate our dining room in red, pink and white, complete with a fancy table setting and hearts hanging from the chandelier. On the menu, heart shaped waffles, omelets and for dessert {of course you have to have dessert after Valentine’s Day brunch} heart shaped cinnamon rolls. I can. not. wait. I love, love, love brunch.

The rest of the weekend is going to be devoted to relaxing and enjoying each other’s company.

How about you lovely readers, what are your Valentine’s Day plans?

Your weekend plans? Are you doing anything fun? How about for President’s Day? Do you have the day off of work? Do you have anything fun coming up?

Have a Lovely Green Weekend.

Hello Dear Readers,

How was your week? Was it just me or did it seem to fly by? This weekend Eben and I are going to make his valentines for school. We haven’t completely decided what we are going to make, but we do know that they will include Mad Libs.

Saturday day, while Eben is celebrating the birthday of one of his dear friends, Mr. Sweet Greens and I are going to spend time together having tea at one of our new favorite local bookstores. Then, Saturday night, Mr. Sweet Greens has a special surprise planned for my birthday. I wonder what it could be? Then Sunday morning, 3 of my lovely girlfriends are taking me to a lovely little place called ‘Le Creperie‘ for brunch to celebrate my birthday. My closest friend Jennifer planned the entire surprise, is she a doll, or what?

How about you lovely readers? What does your weekend look like?
Do you have any fantastic plans?
If you live in the cold areas, are you going skiing or snowboarding? If so, where are you going?
If you live in the warm areas, what are your lovely plans for the weekend?
Have you and your child made valentines yet? If not, here are some ideas.

Have a lovely green weekend.

Have a Lovely Green Weekend.

Hello Lovely Readers,
How was your week? Mine was full of appointments with many important decisions to be made. So, I have been feeling a little overwhelmed, yet excited about the choices that need to be made. And when I am overwhelmed, who should come to the rescue but Mr. Sweet Greens himself, of course. He has an entire surprise weekend planned for our family and you know how I feel about surprises, right? More to come on our weekend, next week,{when I have tons of pictures to share} so stayed tuned.
How about you dear readers, what weekend plans do you have?
By the way, are you going to work on valentines with your children this weekend? What type of Valentines do they give to their classmates and friends? Do you buy them? Make them? Bake them? I would love to hear your ideas. Eben and I are thinking of making his valentines again this year, but haven’t decided on what to make yet. Are you planning on surprising your sweet with a treat this Valentine’s Day? What are your plans. As you can tell, I have Valentine’s Day on my mind.
And just in case you missed it, here are my favorite Sweet Green things from this week::
