Green your Back To School: Stubby Pencil Studios Giveaway

It’s that time of year again. Can you believe it? Back to school, already? I was just getting the summer started, when whoosh, it’s coming to an end. Luckily Eben is extremely excited for school to start and we have finished all of his school clothes shopping, but we still have some things left to do. This week is completely dedicated to making back to school more green. Each day this week, I will have a green back to school giveaway, so stop by and enter to win some great green back to school prizes for your children.

The next thing on our list of things to do to get Eben ready for 3rd grade is to gather the school supplies. Eben loves art and he creates and illustrates his own comics, so we always have tons of art supplies in our house. We started with the list of school supplies that his school had sent home and found that he has a lot of the items leftover from last year. We will definitely be using these items again this year. For the items that we do need to purchase, as well as any new art supplies that he will need in the future, we will be doing our shopping at Stubby Pencil Studio. Writing Is A Struggle Against Silence: Eco-Friendly Journal Giveaway

One of my favorite pass times is journaling – there is something about curling up in my favorite spot with an amazing cup of tea, great music, and a journal and my thoughts. I can and have spent hours transcribing my thoughts.

I recently found a fabulous shop called Vickerey in my neighboring town of Boulder. Vickerey’s products are luxurious in a conscious-living way. I am especially enamored with the Rhodia and Eco Lokta journals. The Rhodia journals are perfect for jotting down your thoughts and are made from 100% sustainable forests. I use my Rhodia journal everyday to write down and keep track of my daily thoughts and ideas. The Eco Lokta journals are fabulous. They are handmade in Nepal from the Daphne Cannabina bush, which grows naturally in the Himalayas at 6500-9500 feet and is a completely sustainable plant. These journals are larger and look amazing displayed in my bookcase.

Vickerey also carries a huge assortment of women’s and men’s organic apparel. They have a wonderful Yoga shop and bath and spa collection.

Earth Friendly Etsy: Chakra Pennywhistle Organic Textile Giveaway

Back for another addition of Earth Friendly Etsy is one of my favorite Etsy shops Chakra Pennywhistle. You will remember Chakra Pennywhistle as the adorable circle the date patch that debuted on Sweet Greens back in April. You will also remember that Chakra Pennywhistle is a beautiful collection that Rikkianne has created by creating something new out of something old.

Rikkianne is a mother to a beautiful little girl named Mia who shares her mother’s love for thrifting and finding beautiful things – a fellow thrifter, be still my heart. Rikkianne is very passionate about doing her part to create a sustainable future and she does so by using Eco-friendly and vintage materials. She really enjoys using natural materials and one of her favorite quotes about organic farming really sums this up. “Organic farming is rediscovering old techniques and applying them with a new plough” by Rhea Pepper.

This week I want to showcase Chakra Pennywhistle’s Organic Collection. The Organic Collection is a fabulous pillow collection that consists of original hand drawn designs printed on organic cotton twill. A House Inside a Hill

I love this Swiss home built into the hills of Vals Switzerland. Isn’t it fantastic? I love that it is just part of the scenery. That view is breath taking. Wouldn’t you love to wake up to it every morning of your life? My only concern is…what happens when it snows?
