Eben’s great grandparents live in South Florida, so seeing them while we are here has been a fantastic bonus. Of all of his grandparents he is the closest to his Nana and Papa. When we first moved to South Florida (the first time) Eben was only a few months old. While Mr. Sweet Greens and I looked for a home, we stayed with Nana and Papa for a few weeks. Then, over the five years that we lived in Florida, Eben really bonded with them.
During this trip, it has been fascinating to see Eben bloom and brighten again in their presence. He loves them so much and is super gentle and kind with them, they are 95 and 84. Can you believe that? And still as mobile as ever! I think moving back to Florida and allowing them and Eben the chance to spend large amounts of time together will be fabulous. The best part, the three of them communicate and interact with each other as if there isn’t an 84 year age difference between them. Fantastic.
