How to Make Organic Strawberry Mimosas

It is strawberry season here in Florida, which means we have seen huge quantities of them available at the farmer’s market and pick you own farm. Always wanting to consume fruit that is local and in season – we have been picking up strawberries all month. Last weekend, we served organic strawberry mimosas with our German pancakes for our Hanukkah brunch – and they were fantastic! If you have a holiday party or Christmas brunch planned, you will definitely want to add this drink to your menu. Read on for the recipe!

What you will need:

  • 4 organic strawberries
  • 3 1/2 ounces organic champagne
  • 3 1/2 ounces organic orange juice

Directions:

Mix the strawberries and orange juice in a blender until smooth. Then, pour into a goblet and add cold champagne. Stir gently and garnish with strawberry slices!

Enjoy!

6 Creative Eco Gifts For Teachers

The holiday season is the perfect time to show your child’s teachers how much you appreciate them. Children spend a major amount of their day with their teachers, creating a strong bond between the two. If you are lucky, your child has teachers who spend their day lovingly engaging each and every student.

My son has an amazing connection with all of his teachers at school, and he looks forward to celebrating his teachers during the holiday season. We always choose gifts that are eco-friendly and creative – as well as gifts that the teacher can actually use. Happy Hanukkah! + Sand ‘n Sea-sun’s Greetings Tour

Hello, Friends! How are you? I want to wish all of my family, friends and readers who celebrate Hanukkah – a wonderful eight nights of happiness and fun! We enjoy a mixture of both holidays as well as the solstice in our home. It’s our way to celebrate and share with Eben all of the traditions that the mister and I grew up with! Really, it is just an amazing month of fun at our house. We kicked off Hanukkah with a fun visit to the mister’s 97 year old grandfather – then, checked out all of the amazing sand sculptures at the Sand ‘n Sea-sun’s Greetings tour.

The Sand ‘n Sea-sun’s Greetings tour is a series of sea themed holiday sand sculptures created by Team Sandtastic, a world renowned and international award winning team of sand sculptors led by Mark Mason. The sand creations are located in West Palm Beach near the waterfront and along Clematis Street. They are fantastic and it was great to see after dark when they light up! It was a super fun way to spend the first night of Hanukkah – if you live in the area, I would highly recommend it.

How about you – do you celebrate Hanukkah? How are you spending the eight lovely night?

If you are looking for a new menorah for this Hanukkah – I am in love with the photo above of the turquoise ceramic menorah – isn’t it fabulous?
