Favorite Organic Cleansing Scrub | Very Clear by derma e

Today, I wanted to share with you my absolute favorite organic cleansing scrub – Very Clear Cleansing Scrub Exfoliatet by derma e. Why do I love the Very Clear Cleansing Scrub so much? Let me break it down for you.

1. It’s Good for You, the Environment + Never tested on Animals
All of it’s ingredients are certified organic, eco-friendly, paraben-free and cruelty free. What’s not to love?

2. It’s Smells Fresh + Clean
I love the smell of the special blend of tea tree, willow bark, rosewood, lavender and chamomile. Think: a fresh, earthy and clean scent.

3. It Works
I use the Very Clear Cleansing Scrub every time I take a shower and it is great for removing dead skin, unclogging pores, and keeps my skin clean, balanced and blemish free. To be honest, I haven’t had any breakouts since using it. I also like to use it on my chest and back to keep those areas beautiful too!

4. It’s Affordable
A 4 oz bottle costs $13.95 which may sound like a lot – however, I have been using this particular bottle since last June and I still have a couple of days of product left. You don’t have to use a lot, just a small drop to get the job done!

5. Recyclable Packaging
When I am finished with the product, the entire packaging is recyclable and I can pick up a new bottle from my local Vitamin Shoppe – which happens to be on the way to Eben’s school.

I haven’t tried the other products in the Very Clear Family yet – but there are on my list to pick up!

What is your favorite go-to organic facial cleanser? I would love to hear your recommendations?

Full Disclosure: I received samples of derma e Very Clear Cleansing Scrub from derma e to review in exchange for my honest opinion. I have been using derma e for almost a year and wanted to share my thoughts with you.

Our Spring Break was Fantastic!

Hello, Friends! Last week, Eben was home for spring break – we spent the entire week snorkeling, paddleboarding, soaking up sunshine by the pool and finished the week off with our first sailing trip aboard Bambolina, our sailboat. We had a fantastic time! I have been playing catch up all week to get back in the swing of things. Did you have a good spring break? Or do you have upcoming plans for your spring break?

This week, I am finishing up a couple of fun spring do-it-yourself projects for the kiddos over at Inhabitots. And I have some fun giveaways coming up – stay tuned!

** Eben had a great time picking up and examining starfish on our sailing trip!

Hello, Spring! + Terrariums are My Favorite!

Hello, Friends! Welcome to the first day of spring. Spring puts me in the mood to make small terrariums to place in every single room of our home. I find them to be absolutely delightful! Don’t you agree? We have made terrariums before, however I am in love with this one made from a recycled apple juice jug! Isn’t it fantastic? I love terrariums so much, I have a board on Pinterest dedicated to nothing but terrariums and succulents

What recycled glass items have you used as a terrarium?
I would love your suggestions.

Have a Lovely Weekend + A Few Green Things

Hello, Friends! How was your week? Are you ready for the weekend? Eben’s spring break vacation starts now – and I am so excited to have him all to myself for nine whole days! Hooray for spring break!

On Sunday, we will be celebrating Mr. Sweet Greens’ grandfather’s 97th birthday. Yes, you heard me correct – 97! Can you imagine? He has always loved to play cards, so we are surprising him with a poker party at the clubhouse in his neighborhood. Fantastic.

While I gather up the supplies to bake him a fabulous organic chocolate cake, here are a few green things to keep you busy:

– Finally! Swiss Parliament bans imports of live dolphins!
– I agree that you can have happy pets without having a yard. We do!
– The world’s largest wildlife conservation area is established in Africa.
– You don’t need to add green food coloring for a fun St. Patrick’s treat – give avocado a try instead.
– I have told the mister a hundred times that I want a mirco pig. Do you?
– Did you know that squid have giant eyes?
– Do you love frogs the way I do?

I hope your weekend is full of fun in the sun – I will see you back here on Monday.

xo,
Sweet Greens
