Have a Lovely Green Weekend + A Few Green Things

Hello, Friends. How was your week? Are you in the back to school grove? We are looking forward to a weekend of biking to the beach and dinner with friends. Simple and sweet, the way weekends should be. While I finish up for the day, here are a few green things for you to enjoy:

Everpaddle: Eco Friendly Stand Up Paddleboards

Ever since we moved back to Florida, Mr. Sweet Greens and I have been talking about buying paddleboards. We want to paddleboard because we love to be on the water and think it would be the perfect activity to enjoy as a family while getting a great workout. The idea of standing above the water with a great view is very appealing.

We have been doing research on eco-friendly paddleboard companies and came across Everpaddle located in Hawaii. With a commitment to keeping our oceans, coasts, environment and community healthly, Everpaddle seems like the perfect fit for us! I love their Everpaddle Stand Up Paddleboard Packages and this heart paddle is fantastic! Now, if I could only find them locally in Florida.

Wow. Today’s review and giveaway is from one of my favorite skin care companies: SIRCUIT SKIN Cosmeceuticals. I have been using SIRCUIT SKIN Cosmeceuticals for almost three months now and I am super impressed with their 100% fresh, pure skin care treatment solutions. I am especially impressed with the Brilliance Fading Serum. Living in Florida, I am always in the sun and although I wear sunscreen daily I am still seeing signs of hyper-pigmentation and discoloration. Boo. Another goody is the White Out, Daily Under Eye Care, which is like magic in a bottle if you have under-eye shadows. This formula helps to soothe and refresh the sensitive skin under your eyes while giving your skin a boost of antioxidants, nutrients and emollients. This has become my go-to early morning cream! I love the way it brightens my eyes and eliminates dark circles and puffiness. Yay!

I have been enjoying the Pumpkin Pore Refiner Mask, it smells exactly like pumpkin – since it is made with concentrated pumpkin extract! This refiner mask leaves my skin soft, healthy and conditioned. I really love using it at the end of a busy week, it’s like a facial in a little pot. The perfect way for me to pamper myself at home.

Biodegradable Placemats and Napkins: Useful or Wasteful?

I just saw these recyclable, biodegradable rolls of perforated cotton placemats at A + R Store. They are washable and can be used over and over again, and when they wear out, you can toss them in your composter.

What do you think of this idea?
Do you think that it would be useful for picnics, lunchboxes or to take with you on the go?
Or do you think they are wasteful and using reusable, washable, long-lasting placemats and napkins would be a better alternative?
