Want to organize your creative kid’s Eco art supplies? Colorful Izze soda bottle caddies can easily be repurposed to hold colored pencils, crayons, markers and more. Plus, the cardboard caddy’s design makes it portable so your kid can tote his supplies from room to room or take them on the go. And what a fun way to add a little pop of color to your child’s desk! Jump over to Inhabitots to see how to make a recycled art caddy from an Izze bottle box in a few simple steps. Eben adores his!

We went to the opening reception of Kids. Culture. Coffee – an art exhibit at our local Starbucks. Eben had a handful of pieces in the exhibit – all with a focus on the art and culture of the Mexican and African coffee lands. Each of the pieces was made using recyclable Starbucks packaging. The best part – when we arrived, Eben was showing me all of his different pieces, what they were made of and what meaning they held. When we came upon his drum (up high on a shelf), he exclaimed, ” Oh no! It is upside down and backwards!” A Starbucks employee quickly sprang into action, grabbing a step ladder and repositioning the drum exactly to Eben’s specifications. Talk about customer service! Here are some photos of the exhibit:

Are you getting your daily recommended servings of fruits and veggies? If not, you are in luck – one lovely reader will get their daily dose of fruit with a fun apple brooch from Jetta’s Nest. Yay!
Jetta’s Nest is owned by Samantha, and each brooch that she creates is made using recycled or salvaged timber that is hand-cut, drawn and colored by hand. Your lovely apple brooch will be made from salvaged Pecan wood. Isn’t it super adorable and fun?
Some of my favorites from Jetta’s Nest include the Once Bitten Apple Brooch, the whale brooch and the guitar brooch! I love the details and the colors – they just make me smile. Wouldn’t one of these brooches look great on your jacket or tote bag? Fantastic.
