We are very fortunate to have a professional artist in our family. Jayson’s cousin Louis Ulman is a fabulous and super talented romantic realist and a wonderful man. His paintings and drawings are vibrant, beautiful and intense. We visited Louis and his lovely wife Linda on our trip to Florida last week. It was a joy to see them and I always love seeing the masterpieces in progress in his home studio. I am always amazed at the way some people can create something so beautiful with paints and a canvas. Eben and Louis have a special bond that I find very heartwarming. I think it is because they are both so creative and expressive in their work. Eben loves to visit Louis whenever we are in Florida. He loves Louis’ enormous Koi pond. {More on that coming soon} My favorites are his paintings of Koi and we are lucky to have “Circle of Waterlilies”, “Pisces Pond”, “Pisces Pond Orange”, and “Pisces Pond Red” in our home. What types of holiday card do you enjoy?
The winter season is upon us and with it can come the winter blues. The days are shorter and the nights are longer – slowing the natural processes of our bodies. Since we tend to slow down during the winter, getting less exercise than usual – we are susceptible to colds and the flu. To keep your health and spirits high throughout the winter, continue to get adequate amounts of exercise, dress warmly, spend more time with your friends and family and be happy.
