Travel in Vintage Style

Excuse me while I daydream about traveling the country with Mr. Sweet Greens in this vintage cutie.

Family Film Night – Ponyo

Eben is completely smitten with anime right now. I recently came across Ponyo – a Japanese feature from famed filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki. It features the adventures of a boy and Ponyo – the goldfish princess. And with a cast including Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, Tiny Few, Liam Neeson, Lily Tomlin, Frankie Jonas and Betty White – who could resist?

I have added Ponyo to our Netflix instant queue – perfect for family film night. No?

What did you think of the trailer?
Very different from the (American) Disney movies that we are use to, agree?

Yellow Bird Project – Indie Rock Coloring Book

Indie Rock

Indie Rock 1

Eben loves to color, especially when the coloring book is different! I just ordered the Yellow Bird Project – Indie Rock Coloring Book. This coloring book is so creative, artistic, musical and fun! Don’t you love it?

Indie Rock 4
And with fantastic mazes and pictures to color that are all dedicated to indie musicians including Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Broken Social Scene and The Shins – I couldn’t resist. The best part, all of the proceeds support the Yellow Bird Project. Fantastic. This is definitely a coloring book that will enjoy too!

Wouldn’t this make a fun stocking stuffer for the music lover in your life?

Farmer’s Market Find – Giant Organic Cinnamon Roll

We spent Sunday at our Green Market – it was fantastic! Ever more fantastic than I expected. Eben choose a giant organic cinnamon roll and devoured it. I was lucky – he gave me a bite.

What a great way to start a Sunday, no?

I Want To Live In A Treehouse

We are planning to purchase property in the mountains of North Carolina, in the near future. Mr. Sweet Greens has been brainstorming the perfect getaway – we plan to build it ourselves. Do you think that we could build a tree house? Pete Nelson from the TreeHouse Workshop seems to think we can. I have to admit, I find this prospect quite intriguing. I love the idea of the stairs that can be pulled up, so no one can get to you!

Would you live in a tree house?
Do you find it romantic? adventurous? or scary?
