Do you Have Fall Family Traditions? Here are 6 to Get you Started

Since I am so smitten with Autumn, I decided to write about Fall family traditions this week on my blog at Cascadian Farm. I think family traditions are so important because they build memories that will last a lifetime and create a unique, strong bond with our forever friends – our families. And Fall is the perfect time to start a new family tradition.

My 6 Fall family traditions are budget and Eco friendly, you can pick just one and start building your family traditions tonight.

Autumn in North Carolina

For our Autumn Family Trip this year, we traveled to North Carolina. We were immediately taken back by the colors in North Carolina. We had no idea that they would be so bright and jewel toned – it was really amazing. I couldn’t get enough of watching the leaves falling from the trees.

Are the leaves changing colors where you live?

Have you spent an autumn day outside, enjoying the colors?

Woolly Worms

Woolly Worms were everywhere during our Autumn trip to North Carolina. And Eben was fascinated. We had to stop every time we saw one, so he could pick it up and inspect it. He was very intrigued.
Do you have Woolly Worms in your neck of the woods?

You can see more pictures of Eben and the Woolly Worm here. You can also join and upload your own.

Like a Good Neighbor

Pink Lady

South Florida has a lot of people – this is something that is hard for me to deal with. The pace here is very fast. It seems as though everyone is always in a hurry to get – somewhere. I am NEVER in a hurry. It seems as though many people do not slow down enough to even meet their neighbors.

I think that neighbors are an important part of our communities. Our neighbors can provide friendship and support – promoting a longer and healthier life.

I hope that when we move into our own space that it will be different. That people will have the time to slow down and say hello.

Do you live in a friendly community?
Do you know your neighbors?
If so, is that a good thing?
