Amenity: Rock A Green Baby Giveaway

If you have recently had a baby, are expecting or have a baby shower to celebrate, you will love Amenity’s new organic baby essentials collection. The Amenity organic baby collection has everything you need to bring your green baby home in Eco-style. Amenity is owned by long time friends Nicole Chiala and Kristina de Corpo. This pair of mothers started Amenity in 2004 with the intent to bring some of the peaceful tranquility of their youth into their urban, adult homes.

Amenity’s baby essentials collection is full of sweet modern design that is Eco-conscience. (What more can you ask for?) All of Amenity’s baby essentials are made from the softest certified organic cotton and other sustainably sourced fibers that are produced locally in the USA. The blankets, towels and wash clothes are deliciously soft and cozy. The hand carved wooden rattles and meal sets are priceless and will definitely be passed down from generation to generation.

Kristina at Amenity has been so lovely to offer ONE of my readers a hooded squirrel towel. I received this towel and it is lusciously soft and cozy. Your baby will love it. Green Health – Do you Need to Stretch Out Before you Work Out?

Do you exercise? If so, do you stretch before or after your workout? Stretching before your workout, does little to warm up your muscles, you are better off doing a warm up routine. However, stretching after a workout is an absolute must, it cools your muscles down, is very relaxing and stretching after your workout is also great for improving flexibility.

Do you exercise?
What type of exercise do you do?

Etsy Halloween Find: Upcycled Sweater Pillows – Eristotle

I really love these upcycled sweater pillows from Eristotle. Wouldn’t these be perfect nestled on your living room sofa or armchair for Halloween?

Republic Bike – Design your own Dutch or Fixie Bicycle

I am smitten with Republic Bike. This fun site allows you to design your own Dutch or Fixie bike – complete in a large array of colors. This would be the perfect bike for cruising to the beach! {daydreaming} And for only $399 + $49 shipping!

That seems like a great deal for a bike that you can design.

Do you have a Republic bike? If so, I would love to hear about it!

Earth Friendly Etsy: Fickle Faerie

When you go grocery shopping, are you still using produce bags? Every year billions of produce bags are thrown away after one use. How wasteful is that? This is a great way for your to help save the Earth and isn’t a hard thing to do. We stopped using those flimsy produce bags years ago, instead we take our own smaller reusable grocery bags and fill it with our produce. Recently I have seen great reusable produce bags that are great colors and can be used over and over again. Sometimes, we won’t have enough reusable bags to put the fruit in so I will be investing in a set for myself. If only to keep the lemons from rolling all over in the back of my car. lol.

This weeks Earth friendly Etsian is Fickle Faerie. Fickle Faerie is owned by June, a mom to three grown up daughters who has been sewing for over 40 years. June makes reusable and biodegradable produce bags. So far, June has sold over 8,000 produce bags. She estimates that if each one of her bags was only used once a week for a year that 416,000 bags would be saved from the landfill and her goal is to reach 1 million bags saved this year. {applause}

June is offering ONE of my readers a fantastic set of 6 reusable produce bags in your choice of color.
