Envirosax Graphic Series Reusable Bags Giveaway

Today’s giveaway is sponsored by Envirosax! They are offering a set of 5 of their graphic series reusable bags in your choice of design! Yay!

These are not your everyday reusable bags – they are fabulously designed, super large, can hold the weight of up to two supermarket plastic bags and come in a carrying pouch that you can keep in your handbag, backpack or car. I also love that they have great handles that are large enough to carry on my shoulder!

I keep my set of Botanica pouches in the bottom of my handbag, then whenever I need a reusable bag they are within reach. I use my Envirosax to carry groceries, beach towels and accessories, library books, Eben’s collection of seashells after a day at the beach and my lunch – and when I travel I use an Envirosax to hold all of my dirty clothes, then when I get home, I throw everything including the Envirosax in the wash.

I also really love the La Boheme set and the Animal Planet set is a must for any animal lover.

Visit Envirosax and leave a comment below to enter, the winner will be announced next Friday.  Good Luck!

*Update: Winner:: Congratulations Lilly! You are the winner. Enjoy your bags!

Green Your Back to School: Green Kids Shoes from Simple and Keen

Can you believe that back to school time is just around the corner. Usually, I am completely ready for school by now. However, with my new career in the works, writing several blogs, working as a virtual assistant for a fabulous client and still making quality time everyday for Eben and Mr. Sweet Greens – school shopping just hasn’t happened. Maybe this weekend?

Luckily, Eben’s new school has a strict dress code that only requires me to buy solid colored trousers, shorts and polo shirts. However, I think we will spice up Eben’s outfits with a little color – in his shoes.

I love, love, love Simple Shoes and Keen Shoes and since he is required to wear a non sandal type of shoe, we are going to focus on sneakers. And I must say Simple and Keen has a fantastic selection of hip and colorful kicks that are Eco friendly too! There are fantastic and fun colors and designs for girls too.

Are there particular shoe brands that you love to purchase for your children?
Have you found ones that last longer than others? Or are more comfortable?

I would love to hear your thoughts! Please leave your comments below!

Will CubeDudes Replace Lego Mini Figs?

Have you seen the CubeDudes flickr set created by Angus MacLane? Eben is obsessed with Lego Mini Figs and I think that CubeDudes might be the next great thing. I can totally imagine a complete set of these little guys sitting on the shelf above Eben’s desk. I am especially smitten with the Boba Fett and Gizmo CubeDudes. Aren’t they fantastic and fun?

Would your children love CubeDudes?
Or would it just be more Legos to get sucked up by the vacuum or chewed on by the dog?

The Pen Story

I love stop motion and this video called The Pen Story is no exception. I saw it this morning while browsing SwissMiss. They shot 60,000 pictures, isn’t it fantastic? Really it just made my morning a little brighter! And reminded me how quickly life goes by.

What did you think of The Pen Story?

p.s. The music just makes you feel happy.

Why Are Organics So Hard to Find…At Costco?

We took our maiden trip to Costco here in Florida. Maiden only because we just moved here, we have been die hard fans of Costco for ages. I have to admit this trip was a little disappointing for us. We knew that the Costco’s in Florida most likely wouldn’t have the organic and natural selections that our beloved Costco in Colorado had – however, I didn’t expect that we wouldn’t be able to find almost any of the lovely and organic foods that we have always enjoyed from Costco. I thought Mr. Sweet Greens’ may weep when we hit the coffee aisle and our beloved First Colony Organic Coffee was no where to be found – let alone not a single organic coffee at all. I suppose we will have to order it. {sniff} Since, we have always purchased about 99% of all of our groceries organic, having a hard time finding what we are looking for here is difficult and sad.

How about you, do you live in an area that doesn’t have a wide selection of natural and organic grocers or food co-ops? Where do you purchase your organic and natural food?

P.S. If you live in Palm Beach County and can direct me to your fave organic hideaways that I may not be aware of, I would really, really, really appreciate it.
