Have a Lovely Green Weekend

Hello, Friends! What fun plans do you have for the weekend? This weekend was suppose to be our maiden camping voyage in our new pop up camper. But alas, Colorado weather has put a hold on that for another week or two. So, we have an entire weekend with nothing much planned.

I think we should ride our bikes to visit of our local farm. I know that the calves, chicks and piglets have been born and think Eben would love to take a peek. I will take a bunch of pictures to share with you next week. Also, we are going to finally finish our raised garden beds. I will post pictures once it is complete.

Don’t forget to turnout the lights on Saturday for Earth Hour from 8:30-9:30 p.m. local time. Since Eben will already be in bed, I think the mister and I should have a date night by candlelight. Don’t you agree?

The Inside of my Home needs More Grass.

Grassland is a company that brings grass into our homes. Fantastic. I think my office would look fabulous with this grass lamp shade. And who wouldn’t love a field of grass on their dining room way? Yes, please.
How about you lovely readers, would you decorate the inside of your home with grass?

A New Look at Sweet Greens

Hello, friends. You may have already noticed some changes here at Sweet Greens. I have tried to make the site more user friendly and cleaner looking. Just to let you know, the ‘My Favorite Things‘ tab in the top right hand corner, will have the current giveaways, coupon codes and my favorite green products and Earth friendly Etsy shops. You can find my contact information in the ‘About‘ or ‘FAQs‘ tabs. You can find all of my Cascadian Farm Articles in the ‘Press‘ section. You can get details on becoming a sponsor in the ‘Become a Sponsor‘ tab. There is also a ‘Ask Sweet Greens‘ tab where I will be listing the questions that I get asked most often. Last but not least, there is a new comment form that is super user friendly and nicer looking. I hope you enjoy the new look and the changes.

Is there anything that you miss or would like to see added to Sweet Greens?
I would love to hear your feedback.

DIY:: Hot Chocolate on a Stick

Since Colorado thinks that it is winter again and it is super cold outside, I think Eben and I will make Hot Chocolate on a Stick . Isn’t this fantastic? I can’t wait to cozy up next to the fireplace with a couple of cups of steaming hot milk to stir hot chocolate on a stick into. Delicious.
How about you lovely readers, do you want to make your own Hot Chocolate on Stick to share with your children? Visit Giver’s Log and give it a try, remember to use organic ingredients and fair trade chocolate.
