DOC:: Multifunction Furniture

It’s a sofa, no wait, it’s a bed. Ok, it’s both and it is in my favorite color orange. Wouldn’t this DOC Sofa Bed be perfect for a teenager’s room, a dorm or a studio apartment? Fantastic.

I love everything about it. I just wonder if it is comfortable.

Our Day Visiting the Baby Animals at the Farm

We spend yesterday afternoon at our local farm visiting the baby animals. They had a dozen baby chickens, 2 piglets, 1 calf and 1 turkey. They were adorable and so much fun to watch. Eben especially loved the goats and sheep because he was able to pet them. He said his overall favorite animal was Charlie the baby calf. The mister and I agreed that our favorites were the baby chickens. I have uploaded more pictures to our new Sweet Greens Eco Community Flickr Group for you to enjoy.

How about you lovely readers, have you taken your children to see the newborn animals at your local farm?

Sweet Greens Eco Community on Flickr

Hello Lovely Readers,

I have started a flickr group for Sweet Greens fantastic Eco Community. This is a group for us to share our ‘green’ pictures. I would love to see pictures of your garden, your green do it yourself projects, things you have made from upcycled materials, Eco friendly activities, nature shots, community events etc;. I think this will be a fun way for us to connect as a community. I would love for you to join, before posting any pictures, please read the group guidelines. I will be uploading our pictures from the farm that we visited yesterday. I hope you enjoy them.

I can’t wait to see your photos.

Earth Friendly Etsy: 19 Moons

There are two types of jewelry that I absolutely love. One is vintage, the other is upcycled. I really love when the two are incorporated to make something fabulous.

Recently, I came across 19 Moons. 19 Moons is an Eco-conscious company owned and operated by Niffer Desmond, a San Francisco native. Niffer creations include unique pieces in NeoVictorian, Bohemian, Industrial & Steampunk styles. Her work incorporates vintage and recycled pieces to make fabulous Eco-friendly jewelry. You will only find original, unique or limited edition designs when visiting 19 moons. Each piece will have people looking your way and are definitely conversation starters. Niffer’s work includes a mix of sterling silver to plastic and playful to classic.

The line that I find most interesting is the X-Machina line. It is jewelry that incorporates outdated recycled technology. (think typewriters, adding machines, payphones and manuel watches) The aesthetic of this line runs from Industrial to Steampunk.

Niffer is offering ONE of my readers a fabulous Dame Tocke Steampunk Vintage Watch Ring. It is a genuine 1930’s Elgin 19 Ruby watch movement set onto a vintage silver filigree ring. {fabulous using only vintage recycled parts}
