5 Green New Years Resolutions For 2010

In an effort to be more Earth friendly and to make 2010 as green as possible, my family has decided to make some green goals this year.

Here are our 2010 green resolutions:

1. We will no longer go ‘out’ to eat as often and when we do, we are going to remain eating locally.
2. We will no longer make frivolous purchases. By doing so, we will create less waste and use less energy. When we do make purchases we are going to continue to shop locally.
3. We will start incorporating more physical local activities into our family time. Whether it is bowling on Wii, hiking, walking, swimming or biking, we want to do more of it this year.
4. We plan to purchase more organic items in loose this year and will take our own containers to the store to bring them home in.
5. We want to produce as little garbage as possible, so we are going to be more conscious of the packaging that the products that we buy are in and we want to make sure that we recycle and compost everything that we can.

It’s a start.

What are your Green New Years Resolutions?

You always have to start somewhere πŸ™‚
Those are some great goals, and very attainable as well.
They give me some great ideas for the new year!

    Hi The Eclectic Element,
I think these are definitely great goals to have to start. I am looking forward to a deeper shade of green for 2010.

Those are GREAT resolutions and some of them are ones we have made too! Our main and biggest goal this year is to make our minds/bodies/spirits more healthy and organic. We are also going to par down as much as possible on “stuff” and sell it to pad our savings account.

    Hi Angie,
I love it, that is actually one of my personal goals as well, to get rid of excess ‘stuff’. It is surprising how much money you can make from ‘stuff’ just cluttering up your home and your life, right?
    Xo,
    Sweet Greens.

I think those are awesome and when you fulfilled all that I’m sure its worthwhile. I wished that we can all continue our green resolutions for this year. It’s also for us and for our environment too. =) My green resolution is spreading the word of green action. I believe through that way I can also encourage others to become more eco-friendly and practical. And also it is to support our Mother Earth. πŸ˜‰

    Hi Robrak,
I agree, I hope everyone has a few ‘green’ resolutions on their list. Thank you.

    Sweet Greens.
