I love pomegranates and miss them dearly when they are out of season, (as they currently are!) However you can still get your pomegranate fix with a homemade Pomegranate Sorbet using Pom Wonderful! Can’t you just imagine yourself sitting on your patio in the sun, savoring every yummy bite?
What you will need:
1 ¾ Pom Wonderful Pomegranate Juice
Juice of One Organic Lemon
4 ¼ Oz. Superfine Organic Sugar
An Ice cream Maker
Add the lemon juice in a saucepan with the sugar and 2-3 tablespoons of the pomegranate juice. Heat, stir over medium-low heat until the sugar has dissolved. Remove from heat, leave to cool a little and stir in the rest of the pomegranate juice.
Pour the mixture into your ice cream machine and churn, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
Serves 4.
Doesn’t this sound yummy for summer?
Do you have a favorite sorbet or ice cream recipe?
Which is your favorite? Ice cream? Sorbet? Fro Yo?
** A huge thank you to Annette Willis at Chasing Lightening Bugs for sharing her favorite recipe from Apples for Jam, by Tessa Kiros. I modified it, so that I could use Pom Wonderful instead of fresh pomegranates, since they are out of season.
