Kids say the funniest things. Eben makes me laugh day after day with the silly, funny and intellectual things that he says to me and Mr. Sweet Greens. I have been keeping a journal of Eben’s loveliest quotes. You can find super cute and Eco friendly journals at Ecojot. I write down what, when and where he said it. If I am having a hard day or just want a good laugh, I will open My ‘Ebenisms‘ journal for a good laugh. Here are some of my favorites Eben quotes:
* While at the pool Eben tried on a pair of goggles and were super tight. He said, “Wow! These goggles hug me better than my own mother!”
* One night Eben asked what we were having for dinner. Mr. Sweet Greens said, “Baked Ziti.” Eben wasn’t sure what that was until Mr. Sweet Greens served dinner, then Eben exclaimed, “Oh, yeah! I remember Baked Ziti, it’s Lasagna’s cousin.”
* While out running errands one day, I made a wrong turn, getting us lost. Eben calmly said, “This is what I love about you Mom, every car ride is like an adventure.”

My kids are teens now, so I really don’t want to remember all that they are saying now, LOL. But seriously, when they were younger, I did keep a journal for each of them, and I am so glad I did. I read it and remember the day that they said something funny, sad, cute. If I had not recorded it, I know I would not remember everything. When they are older, I’ll give them their journals. 🙂

That is exactly what I plan to do. I do keep scrapbooks of Eben’s pictures and artwork but this little journal is just priceless to me. A simple little notebook full of his ideas.

I think this is just the best idea…especially to look back on once they are grown. Plus its something you can give to them when they are adults too!
