Kids’ Kitchen: 40 Fun and Healthy Recipes to Make and Share

Yesterday, I talked about Yoga Planet’s: 50 Fun Activities for a Greener World. Now, I would love to share Kids’ Kitchen: 40 Fun and Healthy Recipes to Make and Share. I love this idea! What a great way to get children excited about healthy foods and learning to cook at the same time. This is another game that is at the top of my holiday list for Eben this year.

How about you, are there fun card games that you and your children enjoy?
I would love to hear about them!

Thanksgiving Feast – Make it a Family Affair

Thanksgiving Dinner

Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? Have you considered immersing your entire dinner party into the Thanksgiving feast process? This week at Cascadian Farm, I shared my 5 steps to getting back to our roots to share the complete Thanksgiving experience together from start to finish.

What are your thoughts on this?
Does your entire dinner party share in the experience?
Or is the process left to one or two people?
Do you think it would make a difference if everyone was involved?

Here We Go Again – The Story of Cosmetics

Here is another fantastic little video from Annie at the Story of Stuff. This time Annie shares with us The Story of Cosmetics. It is a scary story. If you haven’t already removed all of these nasty toxic chemicals from your cosmetic and personal care products, watch to see why it is so important. As Annie says, Toxins in – Toxins out!

We have to work together to get new laws passed to make sure that all of our personal and cosmetic products are safe. After all, it isn’t 1950 anymore.

Have you removed all of the toxic cosmetic and personal care products from your beauty routine?
If not, why not? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Yoga Planet: 50 Fun Activities for a Greener World

I have been looking for fun stocking stuffers for Eben this year and just found Yoga Planet’s 50 Fun Activities for a Greener World. How much fun would it be to try out each of these fifty poses and games together as a family. Each of the cards is in line with one of the planet’s natural elements: air, earth, fire, water and space. Fantastic. This is definitely on my list.

How about you lovely readers, what types of fun games do you like to stuff in the holiday stocking?
