Why Are Organics So Hard to Find…At Costco?

We took our maiden trip to Costco here in Florida. Maiden only because we just moved here, we have been die hard fans of Costco for ages. I have to admit this trip was a little disappointing for us. We knew that the Costco’s in Florida most likely wouldn’t have the organic and natural selections that our beloved Costco in Colorado had – however, I didn’t expect that we wouldn’t be able to find almost any of the lovely and organic foods that we have always enjoyed from Costco. I thought Mr. Sweet Greens’ may weep when we hit the coffee aisle and our beloved First Colony Organic Coffee was no where to be found – let alone not a single organic coffee at all. I suppose we will have to order it. {sniff} Since, we have always purchased about 99% of all of our groceries organic, having a hard time finding what we are looking for here is difficult and sad.

How about you, do you live in an area that doesn’t have a wide selection of natural and organic grocers or food co-ops? Where do you purchase your organic and natural food?

P.S. If you live in Palm Beach County and can direct me to your fave organic hideaways that I may not be aware of, I would really, really, really appreciate it.

man that sucks!!!! I truly hate that companies, Costco is not alone, only sell based on demographics. I know we recently had a new Meijer open up less than a mile from my house and we were SO disappointed in their selection compared to the Meijer in downtown Columbus. I hope you find lots of cool locally owned places to shop!

    Hi Angie,
I know, it has been really hard. I am looking forward to the opening of our Farmer’s Market.
