Good Green Fun: Water Fountain Playground

It is truly amazing to me that if you add water, kids will have fun. Yesterday, my best friend and I took the boys to the water fountain playground in Old Town, Fort Collins. We sat and chatted while they played for 2 1/2 hours in the water. It was probably the most laid back, smooth running day of the summer. There was no fighting, complaining or whining – just fun in the water.

Bicycle Love: STRiDA Eco Folding Bicycle

I think since I will be living in a more urban area of Southern Florida that this STRiDA Eco Folding Bicycle from Areaware would be perfect. Do you agree?

In 5 seconds it folds into a compact form that you can wheel onto the bus, subway or carry up or down staircases, and it weighs only 22 pounds. I think I am in bicycle love. This would be perfect for cruising to the beach, lunch, library or shopping.

Green Community: Suitcases for Kids.

Do you have a suitcase, duffel bag or backpack that you no longer use? If so, consider donating it to suitcasesforkids.org. Suitcases for Kids gives foster children a suitcase of their own to keep all of their belongings in. This way if they are moving from home to home, they have a special place to keep all of their things.
