Miniature Garden Postcards.

I am quite smitten with these miniature garden postcards. All you have to do is pop out the postcard, ad the seeds, water and you have your own miniature garden. Wouldn’t these make lovely little surprises for your special someone to find in their mailbox? Fantastic.

Pledge to Go Green for Earth Day 2010.

Did you know that this year is the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day? How can you help the Earth? This year, when you pledge to create a cycle of positive change for healthier foods and a healthier earth at Cascadian Farm, they will donate $1 to the Organic Farming Research Foundation. How fantastic is that?

Have a Lovely Green Weekend.

Hello Lovely Readers,

How was your week? Did you do anything fun and exciting? Eben is out of school for Spring Break, so we will be spending a lot of time having fun in the sun. This afternoon Eben and I are going to spend the day together. First, we are going on a bike ride to the park, followed by a picnic lunch and kite flying. This evening we are off to the theater to see ‘Beauty and the Beast.’ {Eben is super excited for this one}. Saturday and Sunday we are going to do a little spring cleaning inside and outside. We want to get our garage organized and ready for our new pop up camper. Yay! We finally decided on one and it will be ready for pickup in about a week. I am so excited to start camping. We are also going to start building our large raised garden beds for our backyard. Isn’t spring so much fun?

What are your weekend plans?
Is it warm enough where you live to get out for a bike ride or a day at the park?
If you plan a bike ride, you can map your route here.

A Little Turquoise Love.

I was super excited yesterday to receive a package from The Andean Collection. Inside was a fabulous 3 in 1 Acai necklace in turquoise and I absolutely love the color turquoise. {It is one of my favorite colors}. How fantastic is that? I have several pieces of jewelry from The Andean Collection, but this may be my favorite. Don’t you think it will be perfect for spring, teamed with a simple white tee. Love.

Google Maps Adds Bike Routes

Finally, Google Maps has added bike routes to it’s mapping site. Yay! My family lives in a city that is known for being accessible by bike. This is one of the reasons that we moved here. In warmer weather, we love to jump on our bikes to go to the library, farmer’s market, shopping, to have lunch or run errands. So, this is very exciting news for us.

How about you lovely readers, do you ride your bicycle frequently?
Where are your favorite places to go?
Would you use the bike routes on Google?
