What Does Living Green Mean To You?

I have been wondering what living green means to you? So, to get started I wanted to share with all of you, what living green means to me. I think green living means finding the connection with nature that we have somehow lost. I feel that we consume more resources than our Earth can provide and that this balance needs to be restored. I feel that it our responsibility to make choices that are sustainable for our environment and by doing so, we can live in harmony with nature for generations to come. Life is full of decisions that need to be made and I always try to think of what impact my decision will have the environment, my community and my family. I feel that a lot of people are unaware of the impact that their decisions have, not only on their own lives but on the lives of everyone and everything on Earth. I love to share my ideas on how making simple green choices can have a major impact on our environment and well being. I think it is lovely to interact with others that share the passions that I have for the environment. I am a mother who wants to promote a green lifestyle that benefits us all, including our Earth. I think that because I am a regular mother who knows what it is like to balance a healthy lifestyle that is beneficial to my family and the planet. I understand that deciding to take the green path in life can feel overwhelming and confusing, but by taking it one green step at a time, you will see that living a green lifestyle can be simple, rewarding and fun. I am hear with you, every single step of the way.

Affordable Natural Organic Cotton Towels {Costco}

We use white towels in our master bathroom and after living here for almost three years, our white towels are well, not white anymore. Not to mention, one tore when Mr. Sweet Greens was using it last week. I wanted to find new white towels, but finding organic ones locally has been a little tricky. I looked online and they seemed a little pricey, plus then I would have to pay the shipping. Since, I love, love, love Costco, I thought I would check their online store and sure enough, they have organic cotton towels made by Pure Fiber. These towels are tightly woven 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. They come in a variety of colors and are a great size, they are large enough for Mr. Sweet Greens to use comfortably. The Bath Towel is 30″x 56″ the hand towel 15″ x 30″ and the wash cloth 13″ x 13″. They come in a 3 piece set and the best part, the price only $26.99 a set with free shipping. As an added bonus, they are soft to the touch and super absorbent. The old towels can now be used in the kennel for this little cutie.

Meet the Newest Member of Our Family.

Eben has wanted a baby Pug for about 5 years. He saw the movie Milo and Otis when he was little and from that time on, he has been hooked on Pugs. Since we already had 2 dogs, we told him that he would have to wait until he was older before we would get another dog. Then, Saturday night Mr. Sweet Greens surprised Eben and I when he brought home this little sweetie. Mr. Sweet Greens told Eben that he thought Kugel {A Jewish Noodle Dessert} would be a great name for her. Eben agreed, but kept calling her Noodles instead of Kugel. So, that was that, meet the newest member of our family. This is Noodles or as Mr. Sweet Greens calls her, ‘Oodles of Noodles’ and we love, love, love her. You can see more pictures of Noodles here.

Green Your Thanksgiving:: Quivira Vineyards & Winery

Mr. Sweet Greens and I received a lovely package of wine from Quivira Vineyards and Winery. We have enjoyed Quivira wines in the past, and were also very excited to enjoy the wine together since Mr. Sweet Greens still needs to pick up the wine to go with Thanksgiving Dinner.

We received a bottle of 2008 Savignon Blanc {Fig Tree Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley} $18 and a bottle of 2007 Zinfandel {Dry Creek Valley} $34 and once again we feel in love. Quivira has the loveliest wines that is biodynamic. Fabulous, right?

We enjoyed the 2007 Zinfandel with a lovely Greek meal that Mr. Sweet Greens prepared for us. The 2007 Zinfandel was delicious and complimented the meal perfectly. It was warm and fruity and not too dry, really it was perfect. We thought this wine would also compliment a fancy meal such as Thanksgiving Dinner, it would be the perfect wine to toast with. It is delightful and this was Mr. Sweet Greens favorite wine that we enjoyed.

We enjoyed the 2008 Sauvignon Blanc with dessert and it was lovely. The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc was my absolute favorite and I am still sipping a glass as we speak while enjoying some lovely dark chocolate. It is crisp and clean with hints of melon and citrus. It is a beautiful color and would be perfect to serve this Thanksgiving. The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc is my absolute favorite and Mr. Sweet Greens and I both agreed that ‘we need many, many more bottles of it!’

I think that Quivira Wine would make a lovely addition to your Thanksgiving Dinner and I also think it would make a lovely hostess gift for the upcoming winter holidays. Who doesn’t love a fabulous bottle of wine?
