The winter season is upon us and with it can come the winter blues. The days are shorter and the nights are longer – slowing the natural processes of our bodies. Since we tend to slow down during the winter, getting less exercise than usual – we are susceptible to colds and the flu. To keep your health and spirits high throughout the winter, continue to get adequate amounts of exercise, dress warmly, spend more time with your friends and family and be happy.
Do you get the winter blue? If so, how do you prevent the winter blues?
Today I was happy to slip away for an impromptu trip to Costco with Mr. Sweet Greens. I always enjoy my time shopping with him, especially when it is just the two of us. And guess what? Costco now has organic, shade grown coffee from Ruta Maya. The best part, you can get two 2.2 pound bags for only $36.99.Which is quite a bargain when you compare Amazon’s price for just one 2.2 pound bag at $52.00.
Tonight, Mr. Sweet Greens and I are going to have date night after Eben’s is tucked into bed. Mr. Sweet Greens has an extravagant menu planned and I heard that there is a homemade frozen dessert involved. Fantastic. I will be there!
The rest of the weekend should be fairly low key and relaxed – which are my favorite types of weekends. How about you, do you like weekends that are jam packed with fun? Or do you like to snuggle up with a good book and a warm cup of organic tea?
While I daydream about the yummy meal that Mr. Sweet Greens has planned, here are a few green things that I thought you would enjoy:
– I want an enchanting windshield rainbow, please. – I was mentioned on this lovely blog. How nice is that! {blush} – Alexa Meade paints people. Look again, those aren’t portraits. – Shhh. Eben and I are going to make this as a holiday gift for Mr. Sweet Greens. – Could someone please invite me to a Backyard Harvest Party? – Where the Wild Things AreHalloween costumes – brilliant! – This Apple Cider recipe looks yummy and will keep you warm this weekend. – Doesn’t a bowl full of organic raspberries sound delicious right about now?
I hope you enjoy your weekend and get a chance to relax. I will see you back bright and early Monday morning – I miss you already.
I have a few new advertising spots still available for November and December, if you are interested. These spots are perfect for Etsy shops, small green businesses and Eco bloggers.
I have a ton of great green giveaways, guest bloggers, lovely how to projects, fantastic green products to feature, lots of little surprises and much more planned for fall. Advertising on Sweet Greens is a fantastic way to boost your sales and get great exposure as well.
I am a work at home green mom who completely understands that cost of raising a family, so I keep the rates reasonable, so that anyone who wants to can advertise on Sweet Greens. As a special bonus, I will help your shop get more exposure by introducing your shop to all of my readers in an introductory post and will also share you with my Facebook Fans and Twitter followers.
If you feel your Etsy shop, group, blog or business is a good fit with Sweet Greens and are interested in advertising, please email me at mysweetgreens at gmail dot com.
I have been looking for fun stocking stuffers for Eben this year and just found Yoga Planet’s 50 Fun Activities for a Greener World. How much fun would it be to try out each of these fifty poses and games together as a family. Each of the cards is in line with one of the planet’s natural elements: air, earth, fire, water and space. Fantastic. This is definitely on my list.
How about you lovely readers, what types of fun games do you like to stuff in the holiday stocking?
