Hello, Friends! Are you enjoying springtime? Have you been enjoying Passover or looking forward to Easter? We have been enjoying our spring break together – spending every day biking, or at the beach, it has been amazing. I hope that wherever you are, the weather is nice or at least bearable!
Today is Day 6 of our juice fast – and while it hasn’t been easy, I have learned a few things in the past week.
- I was majorly addicted to sugar and bread
- Not eating has been much easier than expected
- I don’t miss my morning cup of coffee
- Not eating makes you feel cold all of the time, especially at night
- I do like and can drink juice as my only food
- Losing 9.9 lbs in 6 days feels good (the mister lost 12)
- The misters rash is going away
Tonight, when the mister gets home instead of having wine and cheese – we are going to juice cantaloupe, strawberries, grapefruit and lemons – then, blend it with ice! I am looking forward to it.

Way to go Jennie!! That’s awesome, can’t wait to hear more~ I juice regularly in addition to eating healthfully. I have only done a 5 day juice fast a few years ago and it went really well! I want to do another longer one but I’m nursing right now so I have to wait…. Maybe you could post some of your fave recipes?! I often make the same 2 because they are easy to get into the habit of… Green juice with cucumber, lemon, misc.greens, watercress, cabbage, beet, ginger, green apple & celery. Then one with a bag and half of carrots, 2 grapefruit, 1 orange, and knuckle of ginger~ Happy juicing =)
